Palm trees, lake views & level access to the sandy lake is just steps away. Kayak to stunning Sandbar Beach. Cafe, playground, boat ramp just opposite. Pacific Palms is an oasis surrounded by natural beauty - amazing beaches, National Parks, Nature Reserves, birdlife and much more! The space Serendipity is right opposite a concrete boat ramp and leafy park reserve with children's playground and BBQs. Frothy Coffee Cafe and Boat Hire, which overlooks the water and the sandy lake beach, is just steps away. No steep walks between the lake/beach and the house. Easy, level access just opposite our home. Beautiful Smiths Lake is great for fishing, boating, kayaking and swimming. Enjoy the peaceful setting, birdsong and spectacular sunsets. The nearest surf beach is only 5 minutes drive or paddle a kayak across to the sandbar. Local shops are 1km away and the Foodworks at Charlotte Bay is only a 5 minute drive. The house is spacious, light and airy and has a tropical/bush setting with beautiful bird life and possums. It is in a great position right at the lake with easy, level access to the sandy lake beach and plenty of parking for your boat and extra cars. We have a 2 night minimum stay but during some school holidays minimum nights may vary. For public holiday weekends there is a minimum stay of 3 nights. Just send us an inquiry if you have particular dates in mind. For bookings of up to 8 guests you will have full access to the main house which has four bedrooms and one bathroom downstairs (with toilet, wash basin and shower with toddler bath in the base) and an ensuite bathroom upstairs. You will also have access to an additional bedroom/ensuite (with shower, washbasin and toilet) which is detached from the main house. The house has two storeys with a balcony at the front overlooking peaceful water views. The living and dining rooms are at the front of the house downstairs. This is a large tiled open plan space with lots of windows and light-filled areas which provide privacy as well as views across the lake and sandy reserve. There is a reverse cycle air conditioner and Smart TV/DVD player in the lounge/dining room. Please remember to bring your own login details to access Netflix, etc. Games, toys, playing cards, books and a DVD library are kept in the TV cabinet. A basket of beach toys is also provided to guests who let us know they have young children. The modern kitchen adjoins the dining area. As well as the extendable dining table which has seating for 10 people, there is also a breakfast bar with seating for 3. The kitchen is large and well equipped with plenty of space to work if you like to cook up a storm. Families with toddlers might like to use the toddlers table and two little chairs for meals as well as play. There is a full-size refrigerator with a freezer at the top which can be converted to a fridge setting for more space. Just outside the kitchen area is a large picnic table with bench seating for outdoor dining. It is under cover, providing shade on sunny days and shelter on rainy days. There is a front loader washing machine, ironing board and spare gas bottle for the BBQ also located in the laundry. There is also a dryer, but we do ask that you make use of the clothesline outside and the clothes airers provided when weather permits. The four bedrooms in the main house all have queen size beds. The Sandbar Room and Cellito Room are downstairs and would suit those in your group who may have difficulty with stairs to the upper level. They are the smaller bedrooms. The main bathroom is downstairs and has a shower with small bath in its base suitable for children. Internal access to the Cellito Room is through the bathroom, however, it does have its own private outside entrance from the covered back deck. There are two upstairs bedrooms. The Lake View room has a skylight as well as a covered, private balcony with views over the lake and park. There is also a fold out sofa bed (comfortable for one person) and a free to air TV/DVD player in this room. It also has an air conditioner and ceiling fan. The Sunset room is also upstairs. It has a small deck as we as an ensuite with shower, vanity and toilet. You will also have access to the detached Wallingat Room which is just a few metres away from the back door. In this room there is a pedestal fan as well as a TV suitable for playing DVDs ONLY (no free to air TV). Although wifi is available in the main house, the signal is not strong enough for use in this room. Sheets, blankets, doonas, pillows, pillowcases, mattress protectors, bath towels, hand towels and bathmats are provided and the beds made up. Just arrive and relax! There are electric blankets on the beds for your comfort during the Winter months. Serendipity is pet friendly and has a fenced backyard. At the time of booking, guests must advise us if they are bringing a pet. Please note, a pet fee applies ($50 for up to two dogs for the duration of your stay). The fence is about 1 metre high and may not be suitable for larger dogs who are "jumpers". Please have a look at the photographs when deciding if the yard is suitable for your dog. We ask that you keep your dog outside most of the time as there is a shaded undercover area, however, when necessary, your dog may come inside on the DOWNSTAIRS TILED AREAS ONLY. They must be kept out of the bedrooms, away from bedding and off carpet, mats and furniture. There is a BBQ is in the backyard. If the gas runs out, there is a spare gas bottle kept in the laundry.
