Recently renovated, our farmhouse (5 bed, 3 bath) & gite (2 bed, 2 bath), only several metres apart, are extremely spacious and offer home comforts throughout. Private heated pool. Games room. Both have large family kitchens & lounges. Tranquil & secluded location in over an acre of wonderful grounds. Perfect for exploring whole of Brittany. The space Our Farmhouse and Gite are on the same site only metres apart. Both are detached and are completely private surrounded by lawns, terraces and woodlands. The properties have sole use of the pool (heated June - end Sept only), games room and laundry room and are ideal for a large/extended family, families holidaying together or a group of friends. With large rooms, high ceilings and plenty of light, the properties date back to 1850. Both ground floors are perfect for socialising with large yet cosy lounges complete with original fireplaces, wood burners, beamed ceilings and exposed stonework. In addition to English TV and DVD players, there are X-box and Wii consoles with games, plus WiFi (farmhouse only). Both fitted kitchens are extremely well equipped in terms of crockery and cooking utensils and have dishwasher and microwave . Both properties also have a bathroom downstairs Farmhouse: 1st floor - 2 double bedrooms with king size beds (one with cot), a bedroom with bunk beds and family bathroom with bath and shower over. 2nd floor - double bedroom with king size bed, twin bedroom and third bathroom complete with shower Gite: 1 double and 1 twin with plenty of space for cots if needs be. A travel cot can be provided upon request. There is also a sizeable contemporary family bathroom with bath and shower over. Both properties are a harmonious blend of modern practicality and traditional features. Washing machine in the farmhouse and a 2nd one in the laundry room as well as airers, iron and ironing board ... if you have the urge to do your laundry whilst away! The grounds are spacious and secluded with plenty to do for adults and children - all ages! With a private, fully fenced, secure above ground heated pool, boules pitch, large climbing frame with rope ladder, swings and slide, outdoor toys for toddlers and plenty of lawn for football, badminton or a game of cricket - there's plenty to keep everyone occupied. Attached to the farmhouse there is a games room with full sized table tennis and pool table as well as dartboard. When you've had enough of the action, there's always the large terrace, outdoor furniture & BBQ to enjoy. Facilities across farmhouse & gite include: . There is plenty of space to enjoy everything provided: private above ground heated pool which is fully fenced and secure (8m x 4m, depth 1.3m), games room (table tennis, pool table and darts) , expansive lawns, sun terraces with outdoor furniture and BBQ as well as woodlands and orchard. Enjoy stunning country walks close by. Discover friendly small grocery store, post office, cafe and restaurant a 2mins drive in Lanrivain and explore St Nicolas du Pelem, a 10mins drive away with all its amenities including supermarket, boulangerie, banks, newsagent, pharmacy, restaurants, municipal pool and sports facilities. Other things to note PARKING: 6+ cars. INCLUDED: Cost of cleaning and all linens and towels. Beach towels are not included. WIFI: Due to the rural nature of the property signal strength can vary from time to time and, while we usually have no problems, we cannot guarantee the speed of the wifi connection at the property. For optimum service, we would recommend sticking to web browsing and emails. LOCATION: There is so much to see and do in the local vicinity or within 20-30 mins drive. Many great key attractions and beaches are accessible within 1-1.5 hrs. There are visitor leaflets in the properties as well as a comprehensive information pack to get the most out of your stay. GETTING THERE: The port of St Malo is the closest and approx. 1hr 30mins away. The crossings to Cherbourg and Caen are quicker but the drive to the property is further (Caen 2hrs 50mins & Cherbourg 3hrs 10mins). The nearest airports are Rennes and Nantes. The tunnel from Calais is another option.
