With stunning Lake Views from every facing window the property really is a true luxury retreat, ideal for friends and families alike. A stunning open plan extension comprises a contemporary designer kitchen with large range cooker and integrated appliances including 4 wine coolers and its own bar. The spacious dining area is ideal for either a relaxed breakfast or an informal dinner and is completed by 2 lounge areas at either end of the room. A stunning, double height, fully glazed gable wall floods the room with light and showcases the fabulous view. Glass doors lead onto the outdoor entertainment area with sumptuous sofas. Throughout the rest of the ground floor is the formal dining room with original oak panelling and antique table with seating for 10. Double doors from the dining room lead through to a wonderful botanical-themed, formal lounge with open fire and gorgeous panelling with fabric inlays. A further room offers the cinema experience with voice-activated blackout curtains, 75" screen and surround sound; there really is a very generous amount of reception space for all guests to relax and enjoy. On the first floor there are 4 bedrooms (3 with lake views) and two bathrooms one of which is ensuite. The family bathroom features a stunning freestanding bath and wet room area with double shower heads. To the 2nd floor is a beautiful self-contained suite which has already been featured in Conde Nast & The Plum guide for its ingenious details including an integrated hideaway bed. This space occupies the whole of the top floor and has the best views over Lake Windermere from its private balcony. There is also a dedicated bespoke, handmade kitchen, lounge area and ensuite. The top floor suite can be self contained, being easily separated off from the rest of the house making it an ideal space for members of the party seeking a little more privacy. Likewise, the suite can be an integral part of the house simply making it the 5th bedroom with its own ensuite and lounge area. A true luxury Lakeland retreat, perfectly situated for you to enjoy all the delights of the Lake District. You'll find the English country house Storrs Hall within a 2 minute walk and Bowness, Windermere Marina and the Royal Windermere Yacht club under a mile away. An abundance of beautiful walks through stunning Lakeland scenery, with cosy country pubs along the way, can also be enjoyed from the doorstep. If you enjoy fine dining you'll be spoilt for choice with some of the Lake District's finest restaurants within easy reach; the renowned Relais & Chateaux Gilpin Hotel, Henrock at Linthwaite House with resident chef Simon Rogan and of course the infamous 2 Michelin Star L'Enclume in Cartmel, attracting diners from across the globe, is only a short drive away. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the whole property and its two acres of private grounds, accessed via its own private drive with electric gates. Other things to note 22kw Electric vehicle charging point available for use at 35p per kwh A travel cot is available on request for £20 per stay. Please note the cot is not on site, so if required please request in advance of your stay so we can ensure it's available for your use. You will need to bring your own cot bedding and linen. A highchair is available on request for £20 per stay. Please note the highchair is not on site, so if required please request in advance of your stay so we can ensure it's available for your use. We are happy to accept well-behaved dogs (please see further info on acceptance requirements in 'Policies and Rules' section). The charge per stay for up to 2 dogs is £75. The property has a self-evacuation policy typical of holiday cottages. All guests must be able to use stairs to self-evacuate as the sleeping accommodation is not on the ground floor, it is on the 1st and second floor and is all accessed by flights of stairs. Self-evacuation should be carried out within a reasonable time-frame (considered to be 3 minutes) to a place of ultimate safety, outside the property and a safe distance away from the property, which is regarded as equal to the height of the property. Clients who have hearing concerns should provide their own solution of being alerted by the installed alarm system, installed throughout the property. The property has grade D1/F1 Aico 3000/500 series detection system to LD1 coverage that is linked to give early warning.
