Historic Villa with Infinity Pool in Motovun

Thank you!" - Samantha & Leo, San Francisco, July 2018 The space Villa Angelo (Sleeps 8) Villa Angelo is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, luxury property and part of a group of early 18th Century stone houses which are just a 5-10 minute walk (uphill) to the main square of Motovun. South-facing and with a large terrace overlooking the valley below, this sunny property is one of the best places to stay in Croatia. The property has been lovingly restored over three decades using the finest local materials. Arranged over 3 floors and 250 square metres, the building has three bathrooms, and three generous double bedrooms each with Air Conditioning and a Hypnos super-king size bed. The attic bedroom has two additional single beds, therefore ideal for children. The large living room with three French windows give on to a full length loggia and terrace. Wireless Internet is also available throughout the property. The beautiful garden and infinity pool are accessed via a separate entrance on the Main Street, approximately 20 metres from Villa Angelo’s front door, as the garden is two storeys below the house. Children are welcome and house-trained pets may be accommodated with prior approval. Guests are allowed to park 2 cars, either in the blue boxes on the main road, or in the visitors parking lot beneath the cemetery, (between 100m and 500m from the front door and depending on availability). Should you have more than 2 cars, then please let us know in advance and we will try to organise parking for the other vehicles, which will be charged to you at cost. I am afraid guests cannot park next to the property, as local regulations state this is only for permanent residents of the town. Due to Motovun being a hilltop town, as well as the parking between 100m and 500m from the property, guests need to be good on their feet. LIVING ROOM & KITCHEN This room comes with two Italian designer sofas and two armchairs, framing an open fireplace. A 55inch full HD Smart TV is available for guests to enjoy. The network connection comes ready with a Netflix account. Simply pick a movie and watch. The kitchen has an Italian professional two-oven ILVE cooker, a Smeg fridge/freezer, and a Miele dishwasher. There is also a 7-kilo Miele washing machine and another 7-kilo Miele tumble dryer. The well-equipped kitchen includes coffee machines for both espresso (Bialetti) and American style coffee, a milk frother, a microwave, a Dualit toaster, and a good range of cooking equipment. TERRACE Running the length of the house, the terrace is perfect for entertaining with a bbq, sun-bed and an outdoor shower for those hot summer months. Four sets of French windows open onto the terrace with its spectacular panorama of the valley. A dining table sits beneath a wooden-beamed loggia and the other half is open to the skies. During the day guests can enjoy the sun, and at night the beautiful constellations. BEDROOMS All 3 bedrooms come with a super-king (L180 cm x W200 cm) Hypnos bed and Air Conditioning, with the 3rd Bedroom in the attic having an extra 2 single beds (L190 cm x W90 cm), therefore ideal room for 3 or 4 children. All bedding is Egyptian cotton and anti-allergy. BATHROOMS The 2 master bedrooms on the 1st floor each have their own bathrooms, and the attic has its own small walk-in shower and toilet on the 1st floor as well, therefore 1 floor down from the bedroom. INFINITY POOL, STEAM ROOM & GARDEN A stunning 14-metre infinity pool allows magical and uninterrupted views of the verdant Motovun valley. A four-poster sun-bed is situated on the pool's terrace with an adjacent concealed fridge for drinks. At night the pool and surrounding garden can be illuminated. Guests can also enjoy the steam room, lined in grey Italian porcelain tiles and fitted with a waterfall shower and hose. Lying beneath the infinity pool is the garden. Comprising a mixture of herbaceous perennials, ornamental grasses and scented herbs, the garden is another oasis for guests (and butterflies!) to enjoy during their stay. Depending on the time of year, the calming colour palette is made up of blue-violets, apricot orange and brilliant whites. Guests can enjoy the flora via a garden pathway, which can be illuminated at night. There's also another sun-bed - ideal for secluded reading while enjoying the view. DOMESTIC SERVICES & BABY EQUIPMENT During your stay the house manager will be available by phone and lives close by should you require their assistance. The Garden and Pool will be maintained weekly. Extra services, such as babysitting are possible and charged at cost. Up to 2 Cots and 2 high chairs are available on request, as well as a baby bath. Guest access Villa Angelo is in the old town of Motovun. The town square is a 5-10 minute (uphill) walk from the property, where one can find a selection of cafes and restaurants. It is not possible for Guests to drive in the Old town, as this is limited to permanent residents. The property is only allowed to have 2 cars parked for free, either in the blue boxes on the main road or in the visitors parking lot, beneath the cemetery (between 100m and 500m from the front door of Villa Angelo and depending on availability). Should our guests have more than 2 cars, then please let us know in advance, and we will try to organise parking for the other vehicles, which will be charged to you at cost.
