"Loft Metallo" is located in Ghiffa ( Verbania) overlooking the Lago Maggiore. This beautiful and modern loft apartment is in the ideal location to explore the Pidemont lakes region and the surrounding areas. Loft Metallo is so named as it was a metalsmith artist refuge. It is a haven of peace and relaxation away from the hectic everyday life, but well connected with all nearby towns and attractions by walking, biking and the Lake Ferry. The loft is 124 square meters and is located within a re-modeled factory, on the ground floor and very easy to reach with luggages. It features high ceiling, pink granite accents, modern furnishing and an open concept environment. Two huge windows spanning the two floors look on a pleasant courtyard and offer a partial mountain view. The ground floor has a large living area with dining area, kitchen, pantry and one bathroom with shower. The upper floor, reachable with a large open staircase includes a pleasant open living area with one futon, one master bedroom with a queen bed, a second smaller bedroom with queen bed and a bathroom with shower. The apartment can accommodate 4 people and is equipped with Samsung smart TV and DVD player, Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washer-dryer and modern air conditioning. The kitchen is equipped with all the tools, silverware, china and cookware you need. Renters can use the terrace on the rooftop of the building, reachable with an outdoor elevator, for dining, sunbathing or simply relaxing in front of the splendid view of Lago Maggiore and its surroundings (see photos). Chairs, table, umbrella and cooler are available for this outdoor use. Location is an easy drive away from Switzerland's ski areas and the beautiful hiking in the nearby natural park of Val Grande. In addition, there is a very convenient train connection with Milan and other Italian cities for culture and museums. The loft is a 20 minutes walk from the center of Intra and Pallanza, two characteristic little towns on the lake shores offering great restaurants and seasonal cultural events. The Lake Ferry will take you to the splendid Borromean Islands, to Stresa or to the numerous hikes in the beautiful locations surrounding the second biggest lake in Italy. You can return from your excursions to a good glass of wine and watch the evening lake from a terrace with a breathtaking view. Parking is located outside the building and is free. In addition to the lake little beaches available for swimming, just down the street there is a lovely swimming pool with food service and lake view, accessible with a modest daily fee. We will gladly provide you with advice on nearby attractions, restaurants and excursions or leave you the freedom to explore on your own. Guest access The whole apartment is at your disposal. The roof terrace is reachable through an exterior elevator. Detailed instructions and information about local attractions:hiking, biking, swimming, meditating, music and events in season will be provided. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: -We do not accept reservations less than one week in advance of the beginning date. -Access to the terrace is through an external elevator. Please follow our instructions to reach the Loft terrace. -Cooking is not allowed on the terrace, but you are welcome to bring your food and have meals there, it is a lovely spot to do so. We ask that you do not leave food and clean up after meal. -Please no loud noises/music on the terrace after 9PM.
