My houseboat is a lovely, quiet and comfortable place to stay in the historic centre of Amsterdam, close to Carré Theater, Hermitage, Artis Zoo, and lots of other famous tourist places and last but not least the Amstel river. Enjoy Amsterdam from within! My houseboat offers you a tastefull bedroom, a modern bathroom, a luxurieus kitchen and a warm, comfortable living room with a beautifull canal view. Enjoy the view and quiet atmosphere from behind the spacious windows or by using the terrace. My place is a very stable, solid constructed and well maintained houseboat. I like to share my boat with guests from all over the world, because it's such a unique and typical Amsterdam way of living. When I don't rent my houseboat, I happely live there myself. In case you'd like to stay at my place, it's good to know I can offer you a king size bed for 2 persons in the bedroom and a compact sized sleeping couch for 1 or 2 persons (130cm x 210cm) in the living room. Feel free to contact me for more information or in case of questions. The Weesperbuurt is a lovely quiet, green yet central located neighbourhood. Almost all famous tourist are on walking distance from my houseboat. Also several supermarkets, laundrettes, bike rental shops and a tourist information office are nearby located. Situated around the corner is a nice playground for kids in a pedestrianized zone. Let them play soccer, basketball or have fun on a climbing frame. In my houseboat maps and brochures of Amsterdam are available. Public transport is close to my houseboat. From Amsterdam Central Station to underground station 'Weesperplein' will take you 5 minutes. Another 5 minutes walk will bring you to my place. The houseboat is also easily accessible by car. Public (paid) parking places in the vicinity of the houseboat are available on the streets, though it might be so busy that all parking places are occupied. Amsterdam’s digital parking system is what you’ll be using when parking on the street. It can get quite expensive (approx. 5€ per hour up to 7€ per hour in parking garages), but the system is straightforward to use: you need only enter your license plate into the meters, and pay with a local bank card or international credit card; cash or coins cannot be used in parking meters. Especially regarding the houseboat of my dear neighbour next to the terrace: her sleeping room is on my side.
