A beautiful private hill-side sanctuary in Sumner overlooking Christchurch with a clear view to the southern alps, estuary & the whole of pegasus bay. This ecologically & sustainably designed home off a private lane surrounded by native bushland with arguably one of the best views in town. With less than a 5 minute drive or a 15 minute walk downhill you will have access to Sumner Beach and Village. Alternatively a short walk uphill to access mountain bike and walking tracks on the Port Hills. A beautiful well lit, naturally warm living space with 3 seperate bedrooms, 2 lounge rooms, indoor tub (with a view), large open kitchen and large garden. We are passionate about the environment offering our guests composting facilities, zero-waste organic natural products, home grown organic produce & native regenerative initiatives. Guest access You will have access to the entire property, minus the indoor garage. We live attached to the property and are happy to be available as needed. The house is completely independent & private although you may bump into us occasionally. Other things to note Fresh laid eggs, seasonal organic fruit & vegetables, homemade preserves are available for purchase. The garden is scattered with fruit trees and stunning natives, we are very passionate about native forrest regeneration with a big focus on native planting on our 1/2 acre property. Only a 15 minute walk down to Sumner beach or a make your way up the hill for an amazing panoramic views of Christchurch and Lyttelton harbour or take a a stunning scenic drive along the port hills. Closest ski resort Mt Hutt 1.5hrs away. Head down the hill to Sumner Beach & Village, with plenty of cafes, restaurant's and bars. 5 minute drive over the hill to Taylor's Mistake Surf beach and access to plenty of walks, or keep on going to Lyttelton for amazing views and a weekend farmers market. 24km from airport, 14km from city center.
