Larger groups can also take advantage of ‘The Retreat’; a separate additional luxury villa you can also book on the Te Koha estate with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and amazing views. The space Te Koha translates as ‘The Gift’, and that is exactly what this space provides: a gift of peace and tranquility in a stunning location that you will want to revisit time and again. Te Koha is cleverly designed for all seasons with multiple living spaces to entertain and relax both inside and out. Gather in the large living area in front of the wood burning fireplace in winter or enjoy the cool and airy indoor/outdoor flow in summer. You will want to make the most of the 180-degree views of the ocean, Pia Pia beach, Te Ngaere Bay, and the Cavalli Islands because the ever-changing light of this stunning location is truly outstanding. Take your cooking to the next level in a chef’s kitchen with the benefits of all the latest appliances or take your cooking outside to the barbeque and outdoor dining area. Four large bedrooms each with a luxury ensuite bathroom have access to a private area of Te Koha’s wrap-around deck. Each guest has their own space to relax on luxury outdoor furniture, soaking in the stunning sea views across the bays. Each room has the latest retractable insect screens fitted to provide you with cool breezes at night, sounds of the ocean while keeping the bugs out. Your comfort is our priority with comfortable mattresses, Egyptian cotton sheets, super fluffy towels, bath robes and luxury toiletries. We even have a Bambillo memory foam luxury mattress topper, if anyone needs extra support for their back, hips, and joints. Our master bedroom has the latest Sleepyhead Sanctuary super-king mattress. A short stroll leads from a private garden to three stunning sandy beaches where you can safely swim, snorkel, fish, dive, or kayak. We provide beach towels and bags so everything is catered for. If you want to chill out, you have unlimited super-fast internet/wi-fi at speeds of 150Mbps+, allowing you to stream on multiple devices. EV Charging is available too, with a dedicated Tesla wall charger. The renowned Kauri Cliffs Golf Course with its fine dining restaurant is a 12 minutes’ drive away, and for something more relaxed after a day at the beach, Matauri Bay Fish and Chip shop and Whangaroa fishing club is a 10 minute drive. Te Koha residence was originally a 5 star boutique lodge catering for international tourism. Since Covid 19 we have reimagined our business into short term holiday residences for the New Zealand market. This means each room in our property has been curated to a world class standard offering every guest the personal space, luxury comfort and idyllic views you could expect from a 5 star lodge. The Vodafone network is the only mobile phone coverage available in Te Ngaere Bay and Te Koha. We have unlimited internet at Te Koha, with no data caps; so you can stream away. Starlink. Therapeutic massage is available by arrangement with Angela for those who need to unwind after travelling. If you are unable to travel due to COVID lockdown travel restrictions we offer a refund or guests may change the date of travel.
