Chaudiere Beach House

Chaudiere Beach House is a family holiday home, furnished for casual comfort. It is not fenced. It has magnificent views over the ocean and the mouth of the river. In season you are likely to see whales from the veranda. The space GROUPS OF UP TO EIGHT The upstairs house has four bedrooms, one with a queen bed and ensuite, one with a double bed and two with twin beds. There is also a second bathroom. There is comfortable living room, a separate dining room and a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, induction cooktop, electric oven and microwave. There is an air-conditioner for this area. GROUPS OF NINE OR TEN PEOPLE There is self a contained flat downstairs which is only used for larger groups. It has two adjoining bedrooms one with a queen, the other with double bunks, a living/dining area, a small kitchen with an electric stove and refrigerator and a small bathroom. Groups of less than nine can have access to the flat for an additional fee. There is no internal access to the flat. They are linked by external stairs. The flat is never rented separately. Please note that there is some sound transference from the upper floor to the lower level. Guest access There are two driveways (one to the house and one to the flat), which provide plenty of parking and easy access, including for elderly people. However, the external stairs linking the two are quite steep, and care should be taken with young children or frail, elderly people. B0ATS AND CARAVANS MUST NOT BE PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAYS OR ON THE STREET OUTSIDE THE HOUSE. There is an area at the bottom of the street for boats. If this arrangement does not suit, please seek alternative accommodation. Other things to note We do not rent to unaccompanied minors or school leavers. The person making the booking must stay at the house and is responsible for ensuring the all guests are aware of house rules. Augusta is a quiet, peaceful destination. The neighbours immediately behind 5 Chaudiere Place are permanent residents and the right of local residents to enjoy their peace and quiet must be respected. WE PROVIDE We provide bed linen and the beds will be made prior to your stay. We also provide one bath towel per guest, bath mats, hand wash and cleaning products including laundry detergent. YOU WILL NEED TO BRING You will need to bring toiletries and all foodstuff including tea, coffee and condiments and beach towels. CLEANING AND BREAKAGES The house is inspected and cleaned following each stay. However, our rates are calculated on the understanding that the house is left in a clean and tidy state. All furniture must be placed where it was on arrival, all dishes and utensils must be washed and put away, all foodstuff must be removed from the refrigerator and cupboards and all rubbish placed in the outside bins. If the barbeque has been used it should be thoroughly cleaned. Any excess cleaning will be charged at $40 an hour. Please advise us of any breakages or damage to the house. While we are not concerned about minor issues such as broken glasses, we will request payment or an appropriate contribution to cover the cost of more significant damage or breakages.
