The Bham Hideaway - Cozy tree house sanctuary!

Feel like you’re in your own hideaway, as you live secluded in the trees. Leave your cares behind and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature in our spacious and unique cabin “tree home." Scenic balconies, hiking trails and Lake Whatcom are minutes from your front door! Whether it’s staying in to relax or hitting up the Stimpson Reserve down the street, you will find our cabin the perfect place for families or traveling couples to find relaxation and refuge. We’d love to host you soon! The space Feel like a kid again when you climb the stairs to our hidden retreat, built right into the tree line! Enjoy morning coffee while siting outside listening to your neighbors sing (the birds)! Our cabin is a place of refuge and relaxation. It doesn’t get much more private than this! Your views out every window are trees and ferns :) Our home is minutes (walking!) to the Stimpson Family Preserve trailhead and an easy 7-10 min drive to the beaches of Lake Whatcom. There’s also a fantastic frisbee golf course about a 5 minute drive away! Or head into town, a scenic 15 min drive to the main shopping area. Wake up and relax from one of the three balconies while taking in all the surrounding nature. Or dine in the evening from the comfortable outdoor couch and serving table! This spot is our go-to location to eat as a family and reconnect while chatting about everybody’s “high and low” of our day in the PNW :) Each bedroom and the living room (not pictured) are equipped with smart tv’s- feel free to login to whichever accounts you have to enjoy the comforts of home on vacation! We are in the tree line! Stairs are necessary to take, from the lower parking area, to get to the home- or a higher clearance vehicle for the driveway. AWD or 4WD highly recommended in the winter months, especially if wanting to utilize the driveway. Guest access Guests will have full access to the home- bedrooms, bathrooms, full size washer and dryer, and outdoor sitting areas. Visiting in the winter? Please check local forecasts and plan on an AWD or 4WD vehicle for inclement weather. Guests are able to access the property by parking on the street and walking up, or by using the driveway. Higher clearance vehicles recommended. We live on a hill and it’s easier to navigate with 4w/AWD vehicles Other things to note *Get cozy! - The high ceilings and wall of windows in the living room create a cooler zone (temp wise) in the winter months. We recommend brushing up on your fire making skills to utilize the heat from the wood stove and blower. We provide all the wood and some fire starters to make it easy for you. *The roads leading through Sudden Valley can be slippery during winter months with snow. Please plan accordingly with your vehicle- AWD/4WD is recommended if snow is in the forecast during your stay. *Our driveway is *VERY* steep! While some smaller vehicles can make it up year round (like Subarus), during winter/wet months, please plan accordingly with an appropriate vehicle if not wanting to use the stairs to access the home. AWD/4wd recommended! Some lower clearance cars have problems with the steep grade. If you want to be sure to use the driveway, please have a higher clearance car and/or all wheel drive. *While this is a family friendly cabin, kids should be supervised at all times, particularly outside. *ALL guests count towards the total guest count, regardless of age. *The sliding door entry on the main deck and side driveway are equipped with cameras for your safety and ours.
