Villa Toucan is a private ocean-view villa nestled on the edge of the lush rainforest, offering an unforgettable blend of tropical comfort and immersion in nature. Located within the Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge in Punta Uva, Costa Rica, the villa is just 1 km from the turquoise waters and pristine beaches of the Caribbean. Here, you can snorkel over coral reefs, kayak, hike jungle trails, or simply relax and enjoy the natural beauty around you. The space Villa Toucan accommodates up to 4 guests and features two adjacent bedrooms, each with king-size beds (convertible into twin), private balconies overlooking the rainforest, ceiling fans, working desks, and a safe for your valuables. The semi-open bathrooms are uniquely designed to connect you with nature, offering hot water heated by solar panels and the soothing sounds of the jungle while maintaining complete privacy. The villa includes a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, blender, and all essential cooking utensils. The living area flows into a spacious terrace with breathtaking views of the rainforest canopy and the ocean... an ideal spot for dining, relaxing, or spotting wildlife. Seasonal jungle trails on the property add another layer of adventure, letting you explore the surrounding nature depending on maintenance and the time of year. Wildlife is part of everyday life at Villa Toucan. You’ll see toucans, monkeys, sloths, macaws, colorful frogs, and a variety of exotic birds right from the villa. It’s a true paradise for nature and bird lovers. Guest access The villa is located on a steep hill with a mix of gravel and paved sections. While a 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle is recommended, it is not necessary—tuk-tuks and scooters have made the trip without issue. Laundry service is available through our cleaning lady Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 3 PM and Saturday until noon. If needed, additional cleaning services—such as trash removal or towel changes—can also be arranged with advance notice. Other things to note For larger groups or special events, the neighboring Villa Macaw is also available for rent. Together, the two villas provide an exclusive retreat, perfect for family gatherings, retreats, or celebrations.
