Podere Consani is set in this oasis of peace, it is however only 15 minutes before the majestic walls of Lucca come into sight. The owners, who live in the main house at Podere Consani, are happy to give guests any information regarding the area in order to make their holiday as successful as possible - at the same time however they are very careful to respect guest's privacy. They produce their own wine and olive oil. Nature-lovers,painters and walkers alike cannot fail to enjoy the wonderful surroundings and lovely views Within a few minutes walk is the Podere Consani stud where it is possible for children to ride the lovely pony 'Chocolate'. Recently restored, the house has all modern conveniences whilst maintaining its original Tuscan style and charm. It is possible to have cooking lessons or have a meal cooked for you Guests are free to wander wherever they like during their stay at Podere Consani. One may walk through the olive groves, the woodland and the small vineyard and visit the nearby stud. The owner is available to give any local information and to help guests who have any problems during their stay. Podere Consani is situated on a plateau in the lovely hills between the magnificent old town of Lucca and the coast. It has wonderful views overlooking the surrounding countryside - to the south-east towards Lucca and the more distant plain to Florence -to the north the stunning marble mountains and the Garfagnana with its picturesque hill-top towns & to the west the sea.The nearest beaches are at Viareggio (30min) and further up the coast are the beautiful sea-side towns of Lerici and Portovenere and the fishing villages of the Cinque Terra. In fact it lies in a very strategic position - only 20min from beautiful historic Lucca, surrounded by the magnificent walls on which one can walk or bike, 45min from Pisa airport and other historical cities such as Florence, Siena and S.Gimigniano are within easy reach. S.Martino (4km) has restaurants, a supermarket, banks, chemist etc..There is lots to see and do - that is if you can bear to tear yourself away from the beauty of Podere Consani Nearest public transport is 2km. away from the house.
