Gîte du Donjon between Beauval and Chenonceau

Old 16th century house located 3 minutes from downtown Montrichard on foot. In this house, bought in mid-2017 after being abandoned and completely restored since, rental of a comfortable gîte for 2 to 6 people. Exposed or whitewashed stone walls, beams, timber framing, beautiful fireplace (non-functional). Typical setting of the area (cellars in the rock, wells, press, bread oven) on enclosed courtyard of 250 m2 where a vehicle can be parked. The space Access to the cottage is from the courtyard via a monumental 23-step cut stone staircase. Note: if desired, motorcycles can be parked under cover in one of the cellars dug into the tuffeau stone that surround the courtyard. Upon entering the cottage, a large living room includes a dining room, kitchen and living room with sofa and armchairs, TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, ceramic stovetop with 4 burners and oven, fridge, large table and fireplace (inactive). A corridor leads to the bathroom with bathtub and double sink, plus two toilets separate from the bathroom and a bedroom (140 x 190 cm bed). A landing leads to a 2nd family bedroom, 27 m2 with 3 beds: two single beds and a large 2-person canopy bed (160 x 200). The house is located 2 minutes from the train station, 10 minutes from the swimming pool or the beach (Montrichard has a beautiful sandy beach, very popular in season), 20 minutes from Beauval Zoo (first zoo in France known for its pandas) and 12 minutes from the Château de Chenonceau (also accessible from the house by bike in 20 minutes along the banks of the Cher). First French destination for cycling tourism, along the Loire and Cher. Guest access The entire first floor of the house, about 80 m2, is occupied by the cottage. Another cottage occupies the ground floor of the house but is completely independent and overlooks another courtyard. Other things to note Montrichard has a large sandy beach, very popular in summer, which is very popular with children.
