It is one of the finest properties in Portovenere. Immersed in the typical green of the Liguria region and directly overlooking the sea. Upon arrival at the villa guests will find two private parking spaces where they can leave their cars(a rare find in Portovenere)The villa is not adapt to whose have problems to climb the stairs . The space Our house has belonged to our family for more than fifty years. We only rent it for a few weeks a year so you will be welcomed by the warmth and atmosphere of a typical Mediterranean house with refined furnishings including antiques, contemporary design and dated pieces that are part of our history. If you are looking for a super modern and perfect house, this is not it. If you are looking for a breathtaking, relaxing view and all the comforts you can have at home, all immersed in a large garden, you will be in the right place. The large house can be reached from the private car parking by climbing 103 steps, so it is not suitable for those with disabilities and adversity in climbing stairs. From the parking area to reach the villa there are four flights of stairs with a railing which can be seen in the photographs of the villa. The villa is situated 5 minutes by foot from the town center where there are restaurants, bars, a supermarket, pharmacy, ATM machine and the small harbor where boats leave frequently for the 5 Terre. The car is recommended but is not essential. The bus stop and taxi rank are close to the property. Once you arrive on the large terrace overlooking the Gulf you can rest on the comfortable sofas or under the coolness of the olive tree garden. On the terrace level you will find the kitchen, small but equipped with everything you need to heat a ready meal or to cook whatever you want. A welcoming living room with comfortable sofas and an antique table which, when appropriately enlarged, seats 10. A suite with private bathroom with king size bed. It is the coolest room and is equipped with a ceiling fan. This floor is not equipped with air conditioning. The first floor is composed of four bedrooms of which two have king size beds, and the other two have two singles beds each who can be converted into a king . All four rooms have A.C. and ceiling fan. Three have a sea view, one has direct access to the rear terrace which leads to the wooden patio. On this terrace there are two outdoor showers with hot and cold water. On this floor there are also two nice spacious bathrooms of which on has a shower and the other has bathtub. On request you can have a crib for baby. Children are welcome and they will find games and a beautiful garden to play but should never miss the supervision of an adult for the many stairs on the property that may become a danger. Child supervision is a must.    In the house you will find a book with explanations and information that will be useful for your stay. Suggestions for excursions, recommended restaurants, useful numbers etc. Upon request you can have a porter service for luggage upon arrival and departure, or a delivery service for groceries from the supermarket with an extra cost to be agreed ahead of time. we can organize organize dinners or lunches at home ; transfer for and to principal airports. The house is immersed in a Mediterranean garden, some small and harmless animals such as geckos could enter the house and dogs could be heard barking from nearby houses. The tourist tax of €3 per person for a maximum of 5 days must be paid in cash upon arrival (children under 13 are exempt) as well as the final cleaning must be payed cash to the owner at the arrival , 180€ for 8 persons , 200€ over 8 persons (not we insert them in the booking form on the site because we and you will pay the commissions twice so it is important for us that you agree on this point). Upon arrival all the guests must show a copy of their passport to be registered with the touristic authorities With rare exceptions, I always will welcome you personally and explain everything you need to know about the house and the surroundings and will be available for any needs. The owners require that all guests are insured for travels and are not responsible for personal accidents in the villa. This villa is not adapt for people with any sort of disabilities or walking problems. As most properties own Liguria there are a lot of stairs and terraces involved.
