HISTORICAL NOTE In the Renaissance, Via delle Terme was full of painters’ workshops. The apartment is situated in a former nobleman’s palace and is protected as a historical building by the Commune of Florence. The property originates from the early 1400s and became property of the Altoviti family from 1448. It was acquired by Uberto di Francesco De’ Nobili in 1485. The entrance of the building is large and spacious with a lovely staircase that gives access to the first floor. The interior is furnished with antique furniture: from the 1600s there is the church pew situated in the entrance, the kneeler in the bedroom and the pear wood dresser in the dining room. The bedroom door has a precious Turinese glass window from the 1800s; the small glass cabinet is English. The refectory table from the 1500s, in the living room, is the oldest piece of furniture.
