The Port of Sóller has several white sand beaches and crystal clear waters throughout its bay, and also, one of rocks and something wilder, at its far left, called "the artificial beach". You can walk down in 5-10 minutes, depending on where you decide to go in the bay. In the surroundings of Sóller and the port, less than half an hour away by car, we recommend visiting other villages and locations, such as Deiá, Valldemossa, Fornalutx. Sa Calobra and Cala Tuent 45 min. For the more sporty, there are hiking trails connecting Puerto de Soller with Deiá and Valldemossa, which are highly recommended. For hiking and trekking enthusiasts, this is a privileged place. The Sierra de la Tramuntana is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and offers wonderful places with different routes adapted to all levels and ages, both mountain and countryside, bordering the sea or inland, where you can enjoy both spectacular rugged landscapes, as well as delicious wild fields, with orange trees, lemon trees, olive trees, and local fauna. Although you can go by car, it is recommended to ride, at least once, on the wooden tram that will take you to the lovely village of Sóller, with careful local architecture and numerous cultural attractions, as well as craft and food shops (its local market with fresh fish, meat and fruits, especially on Saturdays, is a highlight).
