Northala cottage is yours exclusively to relax to sounds of birdsong, farm activities and Louisa Stream & enjoy the long valley views towards Havelock North or in under 10min enjoy the many cafes and boutiques of "The Village". With easy access to an excellent range of wineries, restaurant, biking and walking trails and Napier's 20s and 30s architecture and celebrations, Northala will provide the comfort base to share with family and friends. Mission Concert rate is for 4 guest minimum booking. The space The cottage is private, standing in its own quiet garden with fruit trees, long valley view and stream access. Be prepared for a gentle country experience, take the opportunity to sit on the deck at night, with the lights off, and enjoy the wonderful clear night sky without the light pollution of the city. For an hour or two after dark, have a wine and count how many satellite you can see cross the night sky. The cottage will suit a couple wanting a private retreat (listed base price of $150), a family with babies to grandparents (under 3years free), or two or three couples going to an event or show at The Mission Vineyards (3 Night & 4 Guest min). A ramp provides access to strollers, walking aids or wheelchairs, (in addition to two stairways to decks front and back), and one of the two bathrooms caters for mobility difficulties. This is a place is equipped to be self sufficient but under 10mins drive on same road (Middle Road) as the good restaurants and cafes of Havelock North Village. Guest access The cottage is for your exclusive use in privacy and includes spacious garden and parking, outdoor furniture and BBQ. The only shared facility is the long, tree-lined driveway, off which your private drive and parking branches to the right, just before the gates to the steep-roofed, two-story farmhouse's garden through the trees. Other things to note Bring a torch or leave the cottage light on if you go out at night: we are in the country and there are no street lights, buses or other city features closer that Havelock North, 9.6km north of our property's corner on Middle Road. We have our own well for water: in the event of an electrical outage there are candles and matches, gas hob and BBQ and bottled water supplied. These outages are usually short lived, but we also have a generator for the water pump if power is needed for a longer period.
