The Round House - family house with indoor pool

Architect-designed The Round House sits just above the Peak District village of Rowsley, boasting stunning views towards Haddon Hall and Bakewell. Walk to Chatsworth House (3 miles) across the fields following the River Derwent. Set in 9 acres of peaceful landscaped gardens with wonderful birdlife - but only a few miles from the market town of Bakewell. Plenty of great walks from the house plus all year round indoor heated pool shared with Woodside Cottage - also at the same location. The space You will find plenty of funky vertical beams, wall length windows to embrace the views and a huge sitting/dining area with a comfortable sofa to curl up on after a long walk. Brand new super-comfortable beds in all three bedrooms (Large Master bedroom and ensuite downstairs with bath and shower over, twin room and single room upstairs with their own bathroom with bath and shower over, and chilling area with large bean bag and work desk. You'll find an additional bathroom downstairs, too, with a shower. The kitchen area is compact, but extremely well equipped, with everything that you might need to cook and serve. There's a dishwasher (dish tabs provided) and two fridge/freezers. Outside on the patio you will find outdoor sofas, dining table and a Weber charcoal barbeque, all with amazing views over the 9 acre gardens. There is a footpath directly from the gardens down to the village of Rowsley which offers The Peacock Hotel, The Grouse and Claret Pub plus Chatsworth Kitchen (lunches) and Massarella's in The Peak Village retail outlet, so plenty of dining options within walking distance. Don't forget charming Woodside Cottage (sleeps 4), at the same location, but entirely self-contained, is also available to let - perfect for family get-togethers when booked together. Please note that the heated indoor swimming pool is available all year round and only shared with Woodside Cottage, also at the same location. We have implemented a rota system giving each property a rotating two hour session throughout the day from 10am to 6pm. Guests liaise with each other if, say they are going to be out all day - giving both houses more flexibility. You will see images of the rota within the photographs. All linen and towels, including pool towels are included, along with basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, dish tabs and toilet rolls. You really do need a car here to get around but there is plenty of parking space. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HEATED INDOOR SWIMMING POOL IS AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND AND ONLY SHARED WITH WOODSIDE COTTAGE, ALSO AT THE SAME LOCATION. WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED A ROTA SYSTEM, GIVING EACH PROPERTY A ROTATING TWO HOUR SESSION THROUGHOUT THE DAY FROM 10AM TO 6PM AND VERY MUCH HOPE THAT GUESTS WILL BE FLEXIBLE!
