Nestled in the Hill Farm Massingham Estate, dating back to the 1880s, you will fall in love with the tame, hand-fed herd of beautiful breeding deer which roam around the property. With a wonderful view of the park and surrounding countryside, you can watch the deer from every window as they do their early evening “walk-by” on their way to drink at the pond before settling down for the evening. There are five big en-suite bedrooms with plenty of stylish communal areas and mood lighting and beautiful artwork, so that everybody can find their own space, making Red Stag Lodge the perfect get-away for a multi-generational family or friends gathering. Warm and cosy open-plan living with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove, it really is an ideal hideaway all year round. A spacious kitchen with a centre island, vast handmade kitchen table and bespoke antler chandelier makes entertaining easy, while a cosy corner with low-lit lamps and a pair of leather armchairs plus a large 50” screen Smart television and ample seating for fourteen on huge comfortable sofas makes relaxing even easier! All three of the Hill Farm Massingham barns properties can be booked individually, as a combination of two of the barns or altogether to sleep 31 people. Fallow Folly (sleeps 7) and The Owl House (sleeps 10) are interlinked internally, while access to Red Stag Lodge (sleeps14) is via outside. Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Dogs must be on leads at all times, as deer roam around the entire property. On arrival, you will be asked to sign a Declaration/ Disclaimer with the owners regarding use of the pool and sauna, lake, wildlife, and other general rules. This property has a private water supply. There is external CCTV at this property for security. Please bring your own pods for the Nespresso coffee machine. Travel cot and high chair available on request. Please bring your own linen for the travel cot. Guest access Ground Floor Entrance into Kitchen/ dining/ sitting area With antler chandelier, hand-made dining table and kitchen with electric range cooker, microwave, American fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, wine fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, breakfast bar, wood burning stove, large leather sofas and arms chairs and Smart television. Master bedroom Super-king four poster bed with views into the deer park. En-suite bathroom With double ended slipper bath, luxury shower, double basins, WC and heated hand rail. Bedroom two With super-king sleigh bed and views down to the deer watering hole. En-suite bathroom With luxury walk-in shower, wash basin, WC and heated hand rail. Bedroom three Large but cosy room with super-king zip and link bed (which can be taken as a twin) and views into the deer park. Bedroom five ‘The Dorm' with funky chalet-style, built-in bunk complex which can either be taken with two super-king beds and two single top bunks, or as six single beds. En-suite shower room With luxury walk-in shower, wash basin, WC and heated hand rail. Outside: Enclosed communal courtyard with garden furniture and charcoal barbecue. Red Stag Lodge and the owners private home are both located within the same grounds. Tarmac tennis and pétanque courts - rackets and balls not provided. Tennis court slots can be booked any time through the booking system when you arrive. The barns are accessed off Rudham Road, out of Great Massingham, where you will sweep up a long drive, over a deer grid and into the park. There is secure, floodlit parking in the courtyard next to the barns. There is an airfield at the end of the drive, with a helicopter landing pad. Swimming pool Swimming pool with LED colour-changing lights and sauna. Pool temperature is approximately 29 degrees. Pool and sauna open all year round. These facilities are shared with other guests, but to be used privately. The swimming pool has allocated slots every day and a couple of evenings a week for each property. Other things to note Additional Information: Bedroom five, 'The Dorm'/ bunk room, has two super-king zip and link beds plus two single top bunks, so can be made up as six single beds, or any combination - please specify at time of booking. Bedroom three has a super-king zip and link bed, so can be made up as a super-king or two single beds - please specify at time of booking.
