Montescudaio, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and located in the Val di Cecina, is the setting for the Agriturismo Il Polveraio, located in the open countryside and in the middle of an olive grove, with a view of the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea and the Tuscan Archipelago. The agriturismo offers various accommodations located in the main house, dating back to the 11th century AD, and in two outbuildings and will allow you to experience a stay in total peace and tranquillity. The space The Villa farmhouse dating back to the eleventh century a.d. consists of a duplex apartment of 100 square meters. Gorgeous panoramic position overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Tuscan Archipelago and the marvelous Tuscan countryside. On the ground floor there is a large glazed veranda which leads to a large living room with fireplace and a kitchen. Upstairs is a large master bedroom and the bathroom. The kitchen is equipped with gas hob, electric oven, fridge, microwave and clothes washer. There are 3 beds, one double bed in the master bedroom and one in sofa bed in the living room. The bathroom has a toilet, bidet, sink and shower. Furniture of our Casa Villa is strictly modern antiques 20th century Italian design the way it should be and appreciated. All our apartments are equipped with safe-deposit box. Large private garden. Nearby there are several restaurants, pizzerias, pubs and wine bars where you can taste the typical dishes of the area and the DOC wine of Montescudaio. Montescudaio is a small 'borgo' located in an extremely strategic for your excursions: 1/2 hour drive from Livorno (ferries to Sardinia, Corsica, etc) 10/15 minutes to the most beautiful beaches of the Tyrrhenian coast of Tuscany 45 minutes from Pisa 50 minutes from Elba Island and all other islands of Tuscan archipelago. 15 minutes from Bolgheri (one of the best wine in the world) 1 hour and a half from Florence 30 minutes from Volterra 45 minutes from San Gimignano 1 hour from Siena 2 hours and a half from Rome The area is served by regular bus services and the nearest railway station is 10 minutes away by car or bus. Thanks to the way the house is structured and the complete private use of the structure, we want to reassure our guests about respecting the security measures. Guest access Guests will have the whole apartment, garden, patio and private parking area protected by automatic gate. Other things to note Pillows and blankets are provided by the host. Bath and dish soaps and a roll of toilet paper are provided by the host upon arrival. Sheets and towels are provided ONLY ONCE during the stay, no linen/towels change service is offered. There's a vacuum cleaner in the apartment. Dogs are always welcome if educated and socialized. Pets owners are requested to keep the house clean from pets hairs through daily use of the cleaner on the floor and on the furniture. At the end of the stay, if lots of pets hair will be found, €50,00 will be charged as additional cleaning fee. Dogs cannot be left alone in the apartment for any reason. IMPORTANT According to italian laws heating can be turned on only for 10 hours a day from November 8th to April 6th. We recommend you to bring warm clothes also to stay inside the house during autumn/spring months. It can be quite cold inside this historic house. Air conditioning only in the bedroom. In this historic house the law prohibits us from using air conditioners with external units. So we apologize in advance if the air conditioners are noisier than normal.
