Description
We are 25 mins from Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket. Accessible to the local village pub and shop which is 5 mins drive. Swallow Barn is situated off a quiet lane in a small village surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildlife. The property is separate but adjacent to our 16th century Grade 2 listed home and we are happy to accept well behaved dogs. Please contact us before booking if you wish to bring them. Open fields surrounding the property provide plenty of lovely walks. The space Swallow Barn is a converted barn adjacent to our very special 16th Century timber framed house. We have converted the barn to a high specification, taking into account our favourite bits of all the holiday lets we have stayed in over the years. We aim to create a sense of cosiness without loss of practicality. The barn affords lovely views over the field and is light and airy. In winter the woodburner adds a warm glow to those cold winter days. Swallow Barn's unique feature is that it is in a very special position, overlooking open fields. It has it's own garden which is a haven for wildlife. We commonly see a variety of birds and deer walk through our meadow. We are big dog lovers and own 2 rescue dogs, we are happy to accept well behaved dogs. We own dogs ourselves and have a cat who is dog friendly to dogs who know how to treat him! Dog guests will be able to share the use of our 2 acre field behind the house. Please note owners will need to bring their own dog bedding. Guest access Guests will have sole use of the barn and has its' own garden with shared use of our field behind the house with ourselves. Other things to note Please note we have TV with Freeview but no internet access in the barn. The kitchen is small and there is an oven but no microwave. EV charge at village hall 2 mins drive from the barn.
