Large, lovingly renovated farmhouse with sauna

The large half-timbered house of the cloth merchant C.W. Henke in Upper Lusatia: built in 1831 and carefully renovated with the original doors, windows and floorboards, Meissen tiled stoves, traditional linseed oil paints and historic wallpaper from the 1930s. On 260 m² there is plenty of space for up to 11 people, a large dining table for everyone, plenty of toys and a very extensively equipped kitchen. Depending on the season, you can enjoy the wild garden, the terrace or the sauna. The space We have interfered as little as possible with the original structure during the refurbishment in honour of the listed building. The hand-painted beavertails on the roof have been preserved, as have the historic box-type windows, the Art Deco wallpaper, the original window shutters (Rietschel), the wide wooden floorboards and the ornate brass door handles on the old doors. Overall, the house offers a tour of local architectural history from the Baroque to modern times. There is also a modern and spacious kitchen with everything you need and could need for thorough cooking (including a 90cm SMEG oven, Kitchen Aid, professional knives, Moccamaster, lots of pots etc.), a large dining table for everyone, modern heating and bathrooms, proper down duvets with mangled bed linen, a spacious sauna, art and antiques from all over the world, a spinet as well as toys and books for the children. The only thing you don't need here is a television. It is a very personal holiday home for all those who want to cook together in a larger group, make music or simply have a good time and are looking for something special. The small but beautiful public swimming pool in Ebersbach is also only 300 metres away! Guest access There is a flat (47 m²) in the former log cabin on the ground floor, with double bed, bath and living area with Art Nouveau tiled stove and the restored original wallpaper from the 1930s. As well as the large holiday flat (140 m²) on the upper floor with one large and two smaller bedrooms, dining room with tiled stove, library, kitchen, bathroom and guest toilet. There is also a small vaulted room (15 m²) with a double bed and a sauna on the ground floor. This is billed separately at €0.55/KWh. As a rule, you need 15-20 KWh for an evening. The large garden in front of the house and the inner courtyard with seating, barbecue, fire bowl, climbing tree and sandpit are also available. For children there are two high chairs, two additional cots (a wooden cot 70x140cm and a travel cot 60x120cm) and plenty of toys. We only rent out the entire house, so you have everything to yourselves. And if you still need more beds or rooms, there is also the ‘kleiner Faktor’ or 'Remise' for 2-3 people in the courtyard (see our other advert). Other things to note It is important to us that the furnishings come from the region as far as possible. This means that the towels and curtains come from Leinen Hoffmann in Neukirch, the bed linen from Spreetex in Neusalza-Spremberg, the glasses from Stölzle and the crockery from Kahla. Some of the furniture is still original from Hellerau or Wehrsdorf and the paintings are a mix of local artists and found objects from all over the world.
