Within the village you’ll find cute shops and cosy pubs, or head to Padstow (3 miles) to sample delicious seafood in one of the town’s many restaurants. In the evenings, read a book in the stunning conservatory or challenge your fellow guests to a game of table tennis in the garden. The space The property is arranged across one level and is decorated in a traditional, homely style. From the hallway, head into the kitchen, which has a handy utility room and everything you need to create delicious dishes for the group. From here, move into the large lounge/diner, which has dual aspect windows and is bathed in natural light. Enjoy dinner parties around the table and movie nights on the comfortable sofas. Additional seating and dining space is found in the gorgeous conservatory overlooking the garden. At night, choose from three welcoming bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom. A family bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, a vast, enclosed garden awaits, with a lawn where children can play and a table tennis table. There’s also a patio area with furniture for outdoor dining in the Cornish sunshine. The stretch of coastline near St Merryn is known as ‘seven bays for seven days’, referring to the seven sandy beaches within a 3-mile radius. The family favourites of Harlyn Bay (1.5 miles) and Treyarnon Bay (2 miles) are great for bathing and playing on the sand, or for fabulous surfing conditions, head to Constantine Bay (1.5 miles). From Padstow, enjoy boat trips from the harbour or exhilarating hikes along the South West Coast Path.
