A View Over Russell

The View holiday house is situated in the heart of Romantic Russell, on the hill in the dress circle, overlooking the village and across the Channel to Paihia and you will love the view!< You can sit at home and enjoy it all from your vantage point on the hill, or walk down the zig-zag track into the village below, 3 minutes away for cafes, restaurants, galleries and shopping. The space This holiday home has 3 bedrooms in two separate sleeping areas, separated by a large lounge/kitchen/dining area. The master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and large dressing room at one end of the house plus a twin room, queen room and laundry at the other. This area also a second bathroom shared by the other queen and single rooms. The central living area and both double bedrooms have stunning views. The combination of a superb location and excellent facilities will ensure that you have the best of everything for your holiday in Russell including the large deck across the front of the house including BBQ and outdoor furniture for al fresco dining with views and sunsets to die for. Parking for two cars or a car and small boat. Guest access To assist us with planning for your arrival and to ensure there are no delays in you being able to access the property. Please ensure that we are advised of an approximate time of arrival 48 hours prior to your arrival date. Check-in time may not be available prior to 3pm on the afternoon of your arrival, this is to allow cleaners to prepare the house for your arrival, checkout time is between 9.30 and 10am on the date of your departure. We have very important arrival instructions for you: Arrival & Key Instructions: If you are using satellite navigation to get to Russell you will need to do this in 2 steps as many navigation systems do not cater for the ferry crossing from Opua to Okiato. Step 1: Please take State Highway 1 from Auckland to Kawakawa, then take Highway 10 (Paihia Road) to Beechy Street in OPUA. As you drive down the hill you will notice the ferry lane is located on the far left hand side, stay in this lane, there may be a queue for the ferry, the queue generally moves quickly - follow the flow of traffic where you will board the ferry. You do not need to book the car ferry, the trip is approximately 10 minutes they run every 10 minutes from 6.40am (Okiato side) until 9.50pm from Opua. The cost is $14.00 per vehicle. Step 2: If you have satellite navigation please enter the address of your holiday home while you are stationary on the ferry, we will give you clear instructions where to meet us so we can take you to the property. Step 3: As you board the Opua car ferry, please make contact with us on the mobile numbers listed below to enable us to give you clear instructions where to meet us so we can take you to the property. There is an information centre at the end of the wharf in Russell, they will be able to assist you with bookings for activities and provide local knowledge. Additional persons: If you have additional persons arriving on the day of arrival or during your stay please advise us as you will be required to pay for the additional persons at the rate applicable to the holiday home, if there are not sufficient beds to accommodate the extra persons alternative accommodation will need to be found ON YOUR LAST DAY We will collect the key from you between 9.30 and 10am. Please call or text the night before if your departure is early in the morning alternatively please call or text 15-30 minutes before you are ready to leave so we can meet you to collect the keys from you. We ask that you have closed and locked all windows and have the house ready to lock, have your car fully packed and you are ready to leave when we call to collect the key. WHAT YOU NEED TO CLEAN BEFORE YOU LEAVE: All dishes must be clean, dry and put away, don’t leave dishes in the dishwasher even clean ones! Remove all linen from beds (leave the duvet covers on please), put all linen/towels in the bathroom/s if you have paid for hire linen/towels, remember to take all of your own linen and towels with you. Leave the beds in a presentable state. Clean all appliances, microwave, oven etc… Clean the fridge/freezer Bathrooms and toilets tidy Please place all TV, air-conditioning, stereo remotes etc; next to the actual appliance Clean the BBQ and ensure it is covered (if it has a cover) Check all doors and windows are locked Put all furniture back as it was when you arrived Please ensure everything is left in exactly the same condition as you found it Rubbish: Prior to your departure please ensure that you have disposed of all of your rubbish/recycling… We look forward to meeting you and hope that you have a wonderful stay, should you need anything please do not hesitate to contact us… Thank you for choosing Bay Of Islands Holiday Accommodation. Other things to note For your comfort the house is pet free and is a non-smoking property. We do not accept children under the age of 12 due to the nature of the property.
