We are a family of four living in the main house at the front, but the Cabana is thoughtfully positioned to ensure guests enjoy a quiet and secluded stay with complete privacy. THE EXPERIENCE From poolside lazy days to relaxed dinners on the verandah, every detail is designed to help you switch off, recharge, and enjoy a slower pace—all in a private, nature-filled setting. The queen-sized bed is ultra-plush with crisp white linens. The bedroom has an extra large wardrobe with plenty of hanging space with hangers provided plus drawer space. A pair of ultra plush thick white luxury bathrobes with slippers are also provided for your comfort and relaxation (lightweight cotton robes are provided in summer). The bathroom is spacious as is the shower with it's extra large generous shower head. This is a fabulous base for keen bushwalkers, bird watchers or those keen on wildlife watching. Maps of many local walks are in the cabana for your use. The local authorities also run accompanied walks to suit all fitness levels. The internet has plenty of information about all the local things to see in and around Berowra. If you are a foodie, the famous Berowra Waters Inn is a short 10-minute drive down the mountain to Berowra Waters. Lunch (recommended for the view) or dinner overlooking the stunning Hawkesbury River is something you won’t forget. The restaurant offers a free water taxi from the EAST wharf. Our guests receive a complimentary glass of champagne and 1/2 dozen oysters - value $100. Make sure you let them know you are our guests when booking to receive this offer. Yes!... there are local ride services that operate in the area to take you to and from Berowra Waters. Amenities are all around you - if driving, you are 2 minutes from a supermarket and a range of speciality shops (Coles supermarket, doctor, pharmacy, hairdresser, butcher, cafes etc. It’s a 10-minute drive to a very large Westfield Shopping Centre in Hornsby, 25 minutes to the beaches and spectacular scenery of the Central Coast. Also down at Berowra Waters are a variety of spots to enjoy the waterside views, restaurants, fishing and boat hire plus there are a few cafes and restaurants on the water. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance, including Thai, Chinese, Italian plus Café fare. If you don't have a car, public transport is all around you - the Bus is just steps from the door, the train is an easy and flat 8-minute walk. A few car hire companies will deliver a vehicle to the door, and there is always Uber. If you are interested in getting out and about to do more than relaxing or bushwalking, a car is recommended. An interesting uniquely Australian day trip out is on the Riverboat Postman. This is a view into a unique Australian postman’s day. You will join his boat from nearby Brooklyn for lunch while he delivers mail and parcels to the residents of some local islands. A washing line is located behind the cabana, out of sight, for your use. Other things to note When guests visit The Cabana, you have the sole and private use of the backyard (a great sunny spot for exercising!) and pool. A large privacy screen separates the owner's home at the front of the property from the pool and cabana. Please note we only host singles and couples. No babies or children, pets or visitors during your stay. If you have friends or family to meet up with during your stay in the cabana, please arrange to meet them off-site. Please note our cancellation policy which is strict so please book after you have read and understand this policy. NOTE: No commercial or professional filming, photography, commercial use, or adult content shoots of any kind without written permission in advance; this includes shooting for OnlyFans accounts. We are a commercial location, and the shooting fee on the property is different to the Airbnb fee. You must ask to undertake a shoot before booking, and no photography or filming is permitted without written permission.
