Beautiful farmhouse, authentic atmosphere, beautiful views. Our guesthouse is very comfortable and still has its authentic details. The area is very suitable for walking or cycling. Within short walking distance you will find "Boot Overleek" boat rental (seasonal). Great for families and people who like to explore the area. We highly reccommend our guest to come by car. Beautiful living room, comfortable funiture and fully equipped kitchen with comforts, such as: fridge with freezer, dishwasher, microwave (NO big oven), Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, etc. The living room has underfloor heating. There is a fireplace and a flat screen TV with various domestic and foreign channels/Netflix. Spend the night in the tipical Dutch "bedstee", suitable for 2 people (see pictures) adjoins the living room at the ground floor, furthermore we have 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor. Bathroom 1: walk-in rain shower, sink with mirror, toilet and bath. Bathroom 2: walk-in rain shower, double sink with mirror and toilet. There is also a separate toilet. Bedrooms: box spring beds, bedside table and lamp. There is also plenty of space for your clothes in the closet, or at the wooden clothes rack. The bedrooms are air-conditioned (heater/cooler) and have a great view. Especially for our guest there is a garden with seats a bench, a barbecue etc. In summer you swim in the lake, it's only 100 meters away from the house. Nearby the house, at "Theetuin Overleek", you can rent a boat and explore the nearby area, in combination with boat rental, you can have lunch or delicious cake. (Summer period) Visit the old center of Monnickendam you'll find a nice harbor and lot's of places to have drinks, lunch or dinner. Other nice places to visit are Edam, Volendam, Marken etc., but also "De Zaanse Schans" and cheese farms. The house is recommended for small or large families and people who like to explore the area. The house is not suitable as party house. If you have any questions, we live next to the guesthouse. Guest access Our guests have access to the guesthouse and its garden. There is free parking space, you can also bring your bike if you like. During your stay We are happy to answer your questions, we live next door. Our place is child friendly, with a stair gate for little children. Outside in in the guest garden is a great place to play. The "bedstee" (bedroom downstairs, 2 persons) adjoins the living room. Our kitchen is equiped with combi microwave (NO big oven) We live next to the guest house (under the same roof) and we are available for your questions.
