Very peaceful and tranquil setting, extensive views of countryside and surrounded by bird life and passing boats. Many other riverside cottages have the river at the end of the garden, in the distance. You can literally fish from the balcony attached to the lounge. We have a large garden that runs parallel with the river so that you have fantastic river views from many rooms. Guest access A beautiful detached riverside cottage with 3 bedrooms. We have a fourth bedroom but that is for owner's storage. We have our own jetty and slipway for launching small boats (not supplied) and 70 metre fishing rights with safe access down to the jetty. Remember! The fishing season is all year round apart from between 16 march to 16 June and you will need your own fishing permit. Be sure not to fish in the closed season because river baillifs are constantly patrolling and have the right to confiscate your equipment with an on site from be. Permits are available online from the post office. Other things to note The cottage has historic links because the ferry man lived there and it was used as a ferry crossing. Before that, it was a shallow place allowing people to ford the river. This is going back to Roman and Bronze Age times. More recently, the forces of Oliver Cromwell forded the river at this location and then went to Powick Bridge where they fought and won the last battle of the English Civil War.
