Tucked away, 2 miles from Taunton, The Chalet Somerset offers a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home. Enjoy a separate bedroom with ensuite, a modern kitchen and a cosy lounge designed for unwinding. Secure parking is provided via our electric gate. Step outside to a private deck, perfect for al fresco dining and wander into the orchard where a BBQ awaits. Each morning, you’re welcome to collect freshly laid eggs from our hens for your breakfast. A secret hideaway @thechaletsomerset The space The Chalet Somerset, was completed in 2013 and crafted from Douglas Fir. Our one bedroom, high-spec self-catering chalet sits amid rolling farmland just outside Taunton. Surrounded by 360° views, which we fell in love with ourselves, it’s a peaceful escape with a separate lounge, kitchen, and bathroom. The gable-end floor-to-ceiling window offers uninterrupted countryside views, best enjoyed from the comfort of the king-size bed. Outside, a raised deck invites al fresco dining, while the orchard is perfect for a traditional coal BBQ. Our friendly chickens live there too, and you’re welcome to collect fresh eggs each morning for breakfast. Check-in: 3pm Check-out: 11am Guest access Lounge/Kitchen: There is a comfy Leather sofa, a 32" remote control TV. There is an Xbox 360/DVD Player. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the mod con's and creature comforts you should require, Tassimo coffee machine, kettle, microwave, toaster, under counter fridge and 2 ring hob. Pots, pans, crockery, glassware and cutlery and utensils are also provided. ​ Main Bedroom: King size bed, remote controlled wall fitted TV, 2 x wireless phone chargers, digital Radio and alarm clock, chest of drawers and two bedside cabinets for storage. All the bed linen is provided. Bathroom: Door into bathroom, WC, shower, basin, heated towel radiator, shaving point and mirror behind basin. Towels are provided for your convenience so no need to worry about packing your own as well as shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Decking Area: Table and Chairs for al fresco dining and use of BBQ in the orchard on those long summer evenings. There is also a dartboard downstairs in the garage which you are also more than welcome to use. Just let us know you would like to use it and we can provide you with darts. Parking: We have free secure off road parking for one car (accessed via electric gates) We are a non smoking property inside and outside and as much as we love animals we can't accept pets.
