As the name says - ARCHITECT'S HOME PLITVICE is not a house, this is a HOME. Designed by prominent architect in Croatia, Zdravko Bregovac in the 1970-ties (1973 to be exact), now also owned by an architect and his family, the Architect’s home presents rare example of luxury accommodation in the very heart of Plitvice National Park – in the village Plitvica Selo. Surrounded with 50 years old pine trees and wooden fence, it presents a peaceful get-a-way for your family and friends. The space Architect's Home Plitvice is situated in a small village of Plitvica selo, just after the Big waterfall and the property has 3500 square meters of land and almost 220 square meters of house, overlooking the Kozjak lake. Surrounded with 50 years old pine trees and wooden fence, it presents a peaceful get-a-way in the very centre of Plitvice National Park. If you ever want to get out of the house, it will take you 10 minutes of leisure walk to get to lake Kozjak and transfer boats and 15 minutes to the Big waterfall. Just at a first glance, you can see that this house is something really different than other rentals in the neighborhood. With wooden roof stretching almost to the ground, big glass balcony doors overlooking Kozjak lake, stone basement, wooden beams hanging from ceiling and impressive design, entering the Home you can feel as though you have entered into architects home in the 70-ties. However, the house is completely renovated, respectfully keeping the spirit of that age. Keep in mind, this is still a wooden house surrounded by 3500 square meters of private property. So if you hear some scratching on the roof, that are probably our 2 squirrels fighting over a hazelnut and during winter time be sure to take a look out on the field to find some fresh rabbit tracks in the snow. Architect’s home Plitvice is equipped with everything you think you need and some more: central heating system powered by organic pelettes, (air condition is really not necessary), lots of extras for the kids, wellness area for “big kids”, kitchen with coffee/tea machine, ice maker, wine fridge, bread baker,satelite TV, wi-fi, hi-fi docking station,….the house is completely self-sustainable for you to enjoy, and if it weren’t for these beautiful lakes that are 10 minutes walk from the house, you would probably never want to go out. In Architect’s home Plitvice we like to grow our own food. At the end of the first wooden fence, you find small doors leading to our big garden. You are free to use the vegetables and herbs growing in the garden during your stay. Depending on the season, you can find onions, carrots, zucchinis, potato, tomatoes and beans. All of the products are completely organic. We can also organize a small tour of the garden for you and the kids. Around the property you will also find some fruit plants and trees, such as apples, plums, walnuts, etc. Feel free to pick and eat them (when they are ripe) during your stay in the house. The owner also likes to make jams, so feel free to ask her for some tips and/or tasting. There are lots of plants and huge trees where you can play and enjoy, just keep in mind to wear suitable clothes. Also, you can find summer dining area with a restored wooden table and deck chairs to relax under the sun. In the property, there’s a barbecue and kettle. So if you want some nice stakes or fish, or if you are more of a goulash or soup person, you can prepare it outside while your kids are playing in the garden. There is a possibility to organize a rent-a-cook for these activities. Guest access Guests can use all the spaces, amenities and rooms in the house, except one service room in which there's heating and electricity service machines. Guests can also use outside garden with barbecue and leisure activities, as also vegetable garden.
