In the heart of the Livradois Forez Regional Park, the Châtaignière welcomes you (2 to 4 people), throughout the year for short stays (2 nights minimum or more, up to a week or two). The cottage is nestled on the edge of a hamlet , at an altitude of 750 m, benefiting from a diverse natural space that ranges from the bocage of the Ambert basin, to the high stubbles of the Forez ridges (1640 m altitude), to vast fir forests. Ideal place for hiking, green and cultural tourism, mountain biking, cycling (Col du Chansert, Béal, Les Supeyres), paragliding (takeoff site 15 minutes away), but also cross-country skiing and snowshoeing enthusiasts (Chalmazel, Prabouré, Les Supeyres, La Loge) Nearby: 3 minutes by car: 1st necessity shops And 10 minutes away: Ambert, an attractive town with: all shops , swimming pool , the paper museum, mus'Energie, the cheese route, the Ecole 1900 museum; tourist train to the Chaise Dieu; the garden for the land in Arlanc.
