San Gimignano, Montegonfoli SIX

Wonderful apartment in the country side of San Gimignano, at about 3Km and 5min from town center by car, far from noise, but close to all you may need. The apartment is suited for 4 people with 2 bedrooms each one with its en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms have an high privacy, splitted by the living room with kitchen, featured by the huge fireplace where our ancient farmer used to sleep over a FIAT 500 seat. Side view on San Gimignano city and towers on the right The space Dear Guests, This apartment is a part of the Montegonfoli Farmhouse, a sort of a small village, made of some ancient buildings, built from the seventeen century on the top of Montegonfoli, the higher hill of the surroundings. Montegonfoli has amazing views on San Gimignano and on Tuscany hills and is the perfect spot for daytrips to any attractions of Tuscany. The farmhouse is surrounded by a huge property of 23ha, that include a private forest, vineyards that produces wonderful grapes (Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chianti Colli Senesi, both DOCG), about 1000 olive trees producing special olives from which a highly prized extra virgin olive oil is extracted, and 5ha of "fields of gold". The forest is featured by a small river, and "in house" nice excursions and light trekking activities are possible. The town of San Gimignano is very close (you can hike there), and Siena and Florence can be reached very quickly, as well as all the other attractions of Tuscany, they are all within a small car trip. Roma city center (Saint Peter church) is less than 3h away from Montegonfoli. Apartment Montegonfoli 6 is on the first floor (no elevator, 20 steps) and can host up to 4 people (two baby beds can be added for babies up to 3yo). Montegonfoli 6 has two large bedrooms, each one with its en suite bathroom, and a a living room with kitchen, with a huge fireplace. Montegonfoli Six doesn't have any terrace or balcony, but we guarantee a table and chairs outside to eat and live outdoors. There is no Aircon, but a large fan for each bedroom. We usually have cool nights even on August (15°C), but since 2017 we have some hot nights in July and August. For most people fans are enough to sleep well, for a few ones AirCon is required on those days. Guest access The farm is in the middle of a 23 hectares garden; the farmhouse is divided into 6 apartments and each one has a private area in the garden. The apartments share a nice 13x6m swimming pool with amazing view on San Giminano, a common barbecue area, a common laundry and to a large parking. The access to the garden is free and allows to make "in house" nice excursions to the forest and light trekking activities. Before making an excursion, please ask us about suggestions and warnings. Other things to note Dear guests, Our Agriturismo operates like an Aparthotel. For this reason, some typical hotel services such as breakfast and daily room cleaning are offered only upon request. Bed linens and towels are included, with a complimentary weekly change. More frequent changes of the entire set incur a cost of 5 Euros per guest. You are welcome to use the laundry facilities free of charge, although soap is not normally provided. Please note: pool towels are not provided, the towels we offer are the lightweight cotton ones typical of hotels. Pool towels take up a tremendous amount of space, and we couldn't manage the stock required for our operation. Upon request, you can enjoy an Italian breakfast (Cappuccino, Coffee, croissants) for 5.00 Euros per person. Our neighbors, who run a well-known and established "social" restaurant just 30 meters away, are pleased to offer a continental buffet breakfast with fresh and genuine food for 15.00-20.00 Euros per person. We have a comprehensive list of available options for "savory" breakfasts, but it's too long to include here. There's a small bar on-site where you can order coffee, cappuccino, ice cream, and some snacks, as well as taste wines and oils produced by our farmer "Tono" with our grapes and olives, but please note it's not open 24/7. WiFi is provided free of charge in all common areas, both indoor and outdoor, such as the lounge and pool, and is now available in all accommodations. The tourist tax is not included in the rate: in some Airbnb locations, it's collected directly, but unfortunately, for the time being, we have to collect it, amounting to 2.5 Euros per night. Fortunately, for longer stays, it's payable for a maximum of five consecutive nights, and kids under 14 are always exempt. Heating is not included in the rate: the apartment has autonomous heating, and each guest chooses whether to use it, setting the ignition and thermostat according to their needs and habits. For practicality and to simplify check-outs, we provide 1 cubic meter per day free of charge, sufficient for a couple of hours a day with not too cold weather. A dedicated meter at the end of your stay will tell you how much you have consumed. The free cubic meters will be deducted. If you exceed this, you will only pay for the excess cubic meters, at the price practiced by Liquigas (currently around 5 Euros per cubic meter in 2024). This policy has allowed us to reduce waste and, above all, rates: guests typically pay 20-30 Euros less per night! Like all shared pools for non-exclusive use, ours is subject to bathing regulations, requiring automatic purification operations and manual maintenance. For this reason, the pool is not available 24 hours a day and is generally accessible from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor common areas, and we kindly ask our guests to respect the civil code, which also protects minors and "ladies in an interesting condition," even outdoors.
