Stunning luxury beach house with indoor pool.

Cliff House occupies a unique south facing sea front position on the Pentire headland overlooking Crantock Beach on the south side of Newquay. It has all the benefits of being next to some of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall (Fistral and Crantock) and yet is in a quiet residential area. The house is set in 1 acre of south facing gardens which go down to the sea, giving private access to beach and sea. The house is listed for 14 persons, 10 in main house and up to 4 in the apartment.. The space Cliff House offers the guests a luxurious spacious and private living environment in which to enjoy family holidays or special occasion gatherings . The house comprises more than 4500 square feet of space over two floors (plus the annex rooms 6 and 7) and has sufficiently large living areas for guests to spread out and relax without feeling cramped. In the main house the 5 super king ensuite bedrooms (2 of which can be split into 2 singles). 4 of these bedrooms are at the lower level (swimming pool level) and one is at the living area level (entry level.) All bedrooms are equipped with a smart TV and hairdryer. There is also a separate annex within the grounds which is for the exclusive use of the guests. It comprises bedroom 6 which has a superking bed and a set of bunk beds plus small kitchenette plus shower room and bedroom 7 which is ensuite and has a superking bed which can be split into singles. Both bedroom 6 and 7 have their own access door. The annex is located around 30 meters from the main house and at the level of the carpark as you drive in. There is a flight of external steps that connect the Annex to the main house. The living areas are in the main house at entry level from the lower car park but are in fact at first floor as the house is built on a cliff. Consequently the living areas and large outdoor terrace have amazing elevated south facing sea views over the beach and sea. The main living spaces are over 20 meters long and the open plan spaces flow from main living room to family room then through to dining and a huge well equipped kitchen. The 2 large sitting rooms -both with sea/beach views have very large smart TVs are adjacent with glazed doors between them, which is useful for allowing children to watch different programs to parents if required. The main (best) living room is fully carpeted in cream carpet. The middle sitting room has a wooden floor so is more suitable for small children. There is also a large utility room on this level plus cloak room off the utility. The well equipped and spacious kitchen is perfect for large family gatherings. French doors and bi fold doors open up from the dining area onto the south terrace with its far reaching views of Crantock beach and beyond to the open sea. The large terrace leading off the dining area is the perfect spot for outdoor dining at any time of the day and has a gas fired barbecue. There is an external staircase down from the upper terrace to the lower area connecting the two outdoor amenity areas. At lower ground floor level there is an indoor swimming pool complete with a swimming jet and a pool shower room. The pool has large bi-fold doors that open up onto the south facing terrace and is adjacent to the hot tub. There is a spiral staircase that leads off the dining area down to the swimming pool. The outdoor cushions are stored under this spiral staircase. Just off this staircase is the outdoor table tennis patio- which is a sheltered space for playing table tennis. In addition there is a table football machine in this hall area. The 5 bedrooms in the main house are located as follows: one superking bedroom is on the upper level ( entry level) off the main living area the other 4 are on the lower floor floor (pool and lower terrace level. There is ample parking for 5-6 cars, all behind electronic gates and at the upper level of the carpark. There is a winding shallow stepped path down to the private access to the beach through the 'cliff' gardens. The gardens comprise mainly of flowering shrubs and coastal plants and some areas of wild grasses and wild flowers. This encourages the wildlife, apart from numerous birds we see lots of butterflies in season and also slow worms if you are lucky (which are harmless but protected.) Before you reach the beach there is a summer house conveniently placed for picnic lunches, or just sitting and watching the beach and sea below. Apart from having a toilet and cold water- extremely useful when spending the day on the beach as its a long walk back up to the house- there is a fridge (it will need turning on and off when you leave the house) and worksurface for preparing /serving food. Please note we do not supply any crockery or cutlery for the summer hose. We suggest picnic utensils are used as and when required. Also the summer house is not 'turned round' at each change over but is checked from time to time. You may need to take down a roll of toilet paper... In addition there are some deck chairs and informal dining chairs and table. There is also a circular concrete seating area surrounding a fire pit. Guests to supply their own logs for this. The summer house area is perfect for a quiet afternoon of reading or watching the world go by. The direct access to the sea from the garden makes this the ideal place for water lovers whether it is surfing, paddle boarding, swimming or kayaking. All can be enjoyed without driving to a beach. Please always check tide times when using the beach, at high tide the beach s often is covered by sea. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to all of the house and gardens and separate apartment. Other things to note Cliff House is ideal for large gatherings of family or friends and beach lovers whether they are surfers or just enjoy the pleasures of the sand and sea.. It is completely private and exclusive, offering guests complete freedom to enjoy their stay without worry of upsetting the neighbors. The jewel in the crown of this house on the cliff is that it has its own access (via the beautiful well stocked gardens) to the beach below by steps. You can literally surf from the bottom of the garden, or paddle board kayak or any other water sport. The immediate area has several very good restaurants, many of which welcome children and dogs. There is a golf course only 5 minutes drive away, extensive cliff top walks and Newquay town center and harbour are 15 minutes walk away ( 5 minutes drive).
