Farmhouse with pool "Horti Amerini" - Umbria

An old farmhouse with a pool immersed in the Umbrian countryside and renovated in green building: the entire house is insulated in a natural way and half is built of wood and straw bales. A comfortable, healthy, naturally cool house in summer and warm in winter, ideal for resting or working inside or outside in the shade of oaks. Starting point to visit cities and villages or to immerse yourself in nature, to wander on foot, by bike or on horseback in the rolling hills that surround us. The space On the ground floor you will have a large kitchen equipped with dishes, stovetop with four gas burners, fridge with freezer, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, TV and a large table for six people with marble countertops. Adjacent to the kitchen, a living room and porch with tables and sofas offer space for lunches, dinners, remote work, and relaxation. On the first floor the rooms: a double bedroom with bathroom and an additional single/double bed; two double bedrooms with a shared bathroom with bathtub and access to a panoramic terrace; an open room with a one- or double bed. Plaster in the cramped or earth, hardwood floors or flooring stabilized with natural linen oil... the result is a comfortable, healthy, easily warm house in the winter and naturally cool in the summer. Around you, a land of three hectares full of olive trees, bordered by large oaks, with small plots of lavender and rosemary and uneven by a garden that grows lush. In front of you, the rolling hills of the green Umbrian countryside accompany the gaze to the mountains of Lazio: from Terminillo to the Cimini Mountains, passing through the majestic and solitary Soratte that indicates the location of the Eternal City. At the end of Rome is forty minutes by train from us, an hour by car... so close and yet so seemingly far away. Guest access The entire home and surrounding space are at the guests' complete disposal. In front of the house, a pool of 7 meters by 3.50 overlooks the view of the countryside on the border between Umbria and Lazio, from the snows of Terminillo to the unmistakable silhouette of Monte Soratte at the gates of Rome. A curtain-shaded lanai has a large table for alfresco dining, and across from the old oven is a barbecue area. Chairs and benches under the oaks allow you to read or rest next to ancient rose bushes.
