An old farmhouse with pool, nestled in the Umbrian countryside and renovated in green building style: the entire house is naturally insulated and half of it is built of wood and straw bales. A comfortable, healthy house, naturally cool in summer and warm in winter, ideal for resting or working indoor or outdoor in the shade of oak trees. Starting point for visiting the surrounding area or to immerse oneself in nature wandering on foot, by bike or on horseback in the gentle hills that surround us The space On the ground floor there is a large kitchen equipped with tableware, a cooker with four gas rings, a fridge with freezer, an electric oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a TV and a large table for six with a marble top. Adjacent to the kitchen, a lounge and porch with tables and sofas offer space for lunches, dinners, remote work and relaxation. On the first floor are the rooms: a double bedroom with bathroom and an additional single/double bed; two double bedrooms with a shared bathroom with bathtub and access to a panoramic terrace; an open room with a single or double bed. Lime or raw earth plaster, wooden floors or earth stabilised with natural linseed oil... the result is a comfortable, healthy home, easily warm in winter and naturally cool in summer. All around you is a three-hectare plot of land filled with olive trees, bordered by large oaks, with small plots of lavender and rosemary, and softened by a garden that grows luxuriantly. In front of you, the rolling cultivated hills of the green Umbrian countryside accompany your gaze as far as the mountains of Lazio: from Terminillo to the Cimini Mountains, passing by the majestic and solitary Soratte, which indicates the location of the Eternal City. After all, Rome is a forty-minute train ride away, an hour's drive... so close and yet so seemingly distant. Guest access The entire house and the surrounding space are at the complete disposal of guests. In front of the house, a 7 by 3.50 metre swimming pool overlooks the panorama of the countryside on the border between Umbria and Lazio, from the snows of Terminillo to the unmistakable silhouette of Monte Soratte on the outskirts of Rome. A veranda shaded by curtains houses a large table for outdoor dining; opposite, next to the old oven, is a barbecue area.
