Backyard trails and Lake Hayward!

Stay in one of the oldest structures in Sawyer County with private Lake Hayward frontage in your front yard and the Birkie trail, atv and snowmobile trails in the backyard! You can hike, bike, ski, or ride the trails directly from our yard. Plenty of parking-driveway is a loop. Cabin was completely renovated top to bottom in spring of 2021. Enjoy serenity and country feel but also close proximity to Hayward. (2 miles to main street) The space Cabin features original tongue and groove ceilings from 1898, but also has modern appliances in a full kitchen, wifi and a smart TV. Three bedrooms are upstairs and the largest one boasts an outdoor porch. Downstairs you will find 2 bathrooms, the kitchen, a living room with a fireplace and a large dining table for eating or games, another bedroom and the laundry room. Very large yard and 3 acres you have all to yourself. Walk the trails in the backyard. Two docks and canoe for your use. Our lake frontage is not suitable for swimming but you can take the canoe out or just enjoy the lake views and songs of the loons & red-winged blackbirds. Swimming is good at the lake hayward beach, 1.5 miles away. Under 4 miles to Big Fish golf course, 1 mile to the lumberjack bowl, 2 miles to main street in Hayward and 2 miles to the Hatchery creek trailhead for the Birkie and CAMBA trails. Great spot for birding, and plenty of raspberries to pick in June-late July! Other things to note We have a conventional forced air furnace and window air conditioning units so you can be comfortable indoors no matter what northern WI weather you encounter.
