A place where you can spend some pleasant days without stress, enjoying Basque cuisine and with the possibilty of visiting Basque cities (Bilbao, San Sebastian, Pamplona) and the surrounding small towns (Lekeitio, Mundaka, Bermeo, Elantxobe...). Guest access From EA ist advisable to use personal transportation to arrive to all these places. Parking is free in EA, so you don’t have to pay for leaving your car. You can arrive by car to the apartment to unload your luggage and then leave your car on the surrounding area. From Madrid: E-5, E-80, AP 1 towards Vitoria. We can hike along Urdaibai region (Biosphere Reserve), surf on the beaches of Laga and Mundaka, go up the river on kayak, walk thorug the “Painted forest” in Oma, visit the fishing ports of Elantxobe, Lekeitio, Ondarroa and Bermeo, or climb the mountains and rocks around Durango (Amboto). If we love museums and “pintxos” (tapas), we can go onto Bilbao, 45 km away (Guggenheim Museum, among others). If we have some more time, we can also visit other capital cities, such as San Sebastian (distance: 100 km), and from there continue to the coast of the South of France (Biarritz, Baiona, Hendaia). And if we want to see the places where Hemingway used to walk, we will go to Pamplona with its “San Fermines”.
