Villa Kambia

Villa Kambia is a traditional stone built house in a quiet and very natural environment. It is fully equipped and operational. Most of the furniture is antique. It offers a private pool, a Jacuzzi and beautiful outdoor space with a lot of sitting areas. We provide linen, towels and towels for the pool. Cleaning service is also offered free of charge twice a week. The closest restaurants are only 1 km away while more restaurants and a sandy beach can be found within 5 minutes by car The space Our villa is situated in a very tranquil and natural environment in a small Cretan village. It is totally suitable for everyone who wishes to have a relaxing and close to nature holiday while not be away from shops, beaches and other activities. The house is the result of a wonderful restoration done to my grandfather's parent's house who used to live there a lot of years ago. The restoration was done in peace with the original character of the house and this is why we chose to furnish it with some antique furniture which in combination with its being built of stones emphasized its old traditional style creating a wonderful effect. The house can comfortably accommodate 8 people offering all the comforts a permanent house offers. Starting from downstairs, the kitchen is fully equipped with a cooker, fridge, dishwasher and all the small appliances needed to make your stay as easy as possible. The dining area which is attached to the kitchen has got a fireplace, and a big table where 8 seats are provided. This area also has got a small WC were we also installed a first aid kit cupboard. There is also a small terrace with an old well which we have transformed into a small table. The sitting room is also downstairs and is connected to the dining area through a stone arch which is from the original house. The sitting area is appropriate for minimum six people. There is a TV opposite the sofas and another fireplace. Around the living room, there are two bedrooms-a single bed one, and a 2 twin bedroom (the beds can be united)- and a shower bathroom. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with double beds and a bathroom with bathtub and a washing machine. There is a wonderful veranda which is covered with a round pergola. It is undoubtedly one of the most wonderful spots the villa can offer. With big outdoor sofas and a breath-taking view to Souda bay this veranda can be the best place to enjoy your dinner during sunset! As for the outdoors, the pool area is separated from ground level as it is a little higher. We have provided sitting furniture under the pergola by the pool apart from the sunbeds. The pool area is surrounded by a big field covered by lawn. Attached to the pool area there is an outdoor bathroom. The barbecue area is also next to the pool and opposite the house. We thought this would be the ideal position for the barbecue so that it is more convenient. There is a big wooden table for those who wish to eat outside. Many of our previous guests would go around freely bare foot as everything is covered by big flat stones and lawn. In general we have tried to provide as many sitting areas as possible. Apart from the comfort it provides, the house is in accordance to the safety regulations against fire (we provide fire blankets, fire extinguishers and a smoke detector system) and against accidents in the pool (depth signs, life ring). The hot tub is in the front yard of the house. Maid service is twice a week. There is also free wi-fi and air-conditioning in every room. As for us, we are a family business who really wishes to provide the best experience possible to those who choose our house to spend their holiday.
