The space The villa has two floors and a large garage / basement. The ground floor includes a well equipped kitchen, dining area, living room with TV, including English channels, a shower room and bedroom. There is also a large dining area outside by the pool. The first floor has a master bedroom with stylish en suite shower room, a large family bathroom with bath, a room with bunkbeds for the kids, a twin room and another double bedroom. Outside facilities include a large pool and barbeque area. The south facing villa gets sun all day. The villa is perfect for large or extended families, or two families holidaying together. The Silver Coast has a great deal to offer. It’s idea for surfing, golf, wind surfing and culture. The internationally renowned surfing destination Supertubos beach is just a short drive away, as well as many other beaches close to Peniche. The beach of Foz do Arelho also boasts great waves when the conditions are right. There are an abundance of surf schools in the area. Closer to the villa, just a couple of minutes away is the excellent Escola da Vela, which offers windsurfing, kite surfing, small sailing boats for lessons or hire and kayaks for rent to explore the hidden corners of the lagoon. There are several top golf courses in the area, prize winning Praia del Rey and Royal Obidos are particularly excellent and accessible. Just fifteen minutes away is the amazing walled town of Óbidos, a UNESCO World Heritage site. If you are luck enough to be here in July, you can attend their incredible annual Medieval Festival. At other times of the year you can visit and eat your way through their chocolate festival! Foz do Arelho has one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, with the Atlantic on one side, and the more tranquil lagoon on the other. There are beach bars, cafes and restaurants at the beach, but it is not overly commercialised. The centre of Foz do Arelho has several good restaurants, a few bars and cafes. There is a bank, a pharmacy, an excellent butcher, a hairdresser and several mini markets. Just ten minutes away is the market town of Caldas da Rainha, where you will find large supermarkets, a daily fruit and veg market (the last remaining one outdoors in Portugal), a fish market, a cinema with films in English, a shopping centre and lots of other interesting places to explore, the large park with excellent art gallery being a firm favourite – don’t miss out on rowing on the boating lake in the park!
