Description
The Dovecote is an elegant peaceful cottage, set in a garden of a medieval Manor. In Tudor times the Dovecote providing doves to the Royal Palaces Today, the dovecote has undergone extensive restoration, converting it into a charming living space, with modern facilities and fast Wifi. Now it's ideal for different purposes from a relaxing getaway, to a home from home for a business traveller or a quiet space to study. The Dovecote has a modern kitchen with a dining Table. The space The Dovecote is set away from the Old Manor and is accessed by a footpath, which leads through a small rose garden with a medieval well, which has been converted into a fishpond. You enter the Dovecote through a set of double doors, into the modern kitchen/dinning room; which is equipped with; an electric cooker, hob, dishwasher, toaster, microwave and plenty of cupboard space. Off the kitchen is large shower room with a loo and basin, which is stocked with soaps and shampoo. The kitchen leads onto a light and spacious sitting room, which is perfect for the cold winter nights and large comfortable sofa where you can watch a film on the 52” television. Above the sitting room is located the gallery double bedroom. Which has an ornate king size bed, from you gaze up at the ancient oak beams. On request at time of booking, a single bed can be provided in the corner of the sitting room to allow two guests to sleep separately. The property is served with fast Wifi through out and central heating. Guest access When you arrive, there will be safe and secure on site parking at the front of The Old Manor, with designated spaces for up to two cars. There are also facilities for storing bicycles in a lockable outbuilding for the duration of your visit. On the outside, there is a new private terrace area, exclusively for guest use, which offers a perfect spot for relaxation at the end of the day; where you will look out over the pretty sunken gardens and you will also be able to hear the babbling of the Letcombe Book which flows through the bottom of the garden. There is also the option in the summer months (mid May to early September) for the use of the heated outdoor swimming pool by arrangement and but it is at your own risk. Other things to note The Dovecote is a non-smoking area.
