Indoor games room (open May 15- Oct) has billiards, toys, games for every age! Nearby are amazing world heritage sites, castles, Cromagnon caves. A wonderful place to relax. Free high speed internet -Wifi! Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower. 1 bedroom, with double bed, and large sunny windows overlooking the gardens. You have an outdoor dining terrace with barbecue, a wonderful place to relax over a home cooked meal! This home combines centuries old French charm with modern comforts. Off season rentals! Les Gites Fleuris is located on a quiet semi-private single lane road, nestled in the idyllic countryside, in a small hamlet of 18th century stone Perigordian farmhouses. The Pool and sundeck are in the orchard, surrounded by grass, trees and flowers. When in season, you are welcome to pick the fruit off the trees! We have acres that you are welcome to explore. Take a walk down the lane to visit our 3 horses, who would love a pet and a carrot! We are family friendly with children's play area with swings, climbing wall, raised fort, slide, and volley/badminton net. There is an indoor games room with billiards, games, toys, ping pong, etc...and a central laundry room with washer and dryer and drying racks. Only 2 km is the dramatic Chateau de Hautefort, a magnificent 17th c castle, medieval village! All the necessities of life: boulangerie, butcher, grocery store, post office, office of tourism, bank, doctors (english speaking), and pharmacy are within 2km. Tourtoirac is only 5 km and has an abbey 1000 years old, and a newly opened: Grotte de Tourtoirac, and very beautiful cave with amazing limestone formations and underground river. HAUTEFORT is perfectly located to explore the Dordogne Region! The most amazing sites are within a 1hour radius! Dordogne has something for everyone! 1001 Castles, CroMagnon Caves (Lascaux), Medieval Villages (Sarlat), Open air Markets, Roman ruins, etc.... This area has so much history that it is sure to capture the imaginations and interests of everyone in the family! ahhh the Food! Parisians say “you’ll eat well in the Perigord”! This little corner of Southwest France is home to the black truffle, one of the most famous and expensive luxury foods of France. (Truffle Markets are open in Winter!) It is also the land of foie gras-- that typical French delicacy made from fattened goose or duck liver, along with other Canard specialty dishes. You can visit the local farms for goat cheese, foie gras, walnuts... Step back in time to the old France of farms and castles and caves and stone villages! Guest access Guests have full access to 6ha property, with the exception of the other house's terrace and owner area. NEWS - due to covid19- we will only rent both houses together - La Petite Rose and Wisteria OR only one house. This will give guests exclusive use of the swimming pool and games room.
