Description
Light and airy open plan cottage with wooden floors throughout and a small front terrace looking directly over the famous Grantchester Meadows. Suitable for adult guests. This is a quiet, residential terrace, with many residents working from home. Grantchester is a picturesque, safe and friendly village with great pubs and a tea room. Walk, bike, run, bus or drive into Cambridge. Parking is free on the street. We live next door so are on hand if you need anything but won't intrude. The space Wooden and tiled floors throughout. Character Victorian terraced in the famous village of Grantchester, with views over Grantchester Meadows and across to Cambridge. The cottage is comfortably furnished with an eclectic mix of antique and modern furniture and original artworks by the owner and other local artists. Grantchester provides the perfect place to stay and relax as well as a great base for exploring the area. There is a small front garden / patio area to sit and enjoy views directly over Grantchester meadows. This is a very safe, friendly and scenic village south of Cambridge. Things to note: The stairs are quite steep (there is a hand rail). The compact bathroom is downstairs. There are individually controlled heaters in all rooms. The wood burner is not in use and decorative only. (In response to feedback) since 2022 there is a new King size bed with a medium, pocket sprung mattress in the main bedroom and blackout curtains in both bedrooms. Guest access Guest have access to the whole house and access to a small terrace at the front overlooking the meadows and the street. Other things to note The house is unsuitable for children under the age of 12 Steep stairs with handrail to the bedrooms. Toilet and shower downstairs.
