The space Let me describe the uniqueness of the place withb the words of a recent guest "THE FORTYSIX is about as perfect as a vacation rental can be. The location is very well situated, with a metro station, taxi stand, and bus stop all in the same block as the apartment. You'll be a stone's throw away from sights like Casa Batllo, Casa Milo, and Casa Amatller complete with its ground floor chocolate gift shop! You're also within walking distance (1-3 blocks) to well-stocked shops to satisfy your edible desires; whether it's wine, cheese, cured meats, chocolate, spanish conservas, or just a morning croissant and coffee. The touristy traffic is well away from the location, however you're right in the middle of the luxury boutiques, with Tiffany & Co., Burberry, and Swarosky all within 50m walking distance. As for tourism, you can, for example, walk to La Ramblas in 10 minutes. The Sants train Station is a major railway hub for local trains and the Renfe trains, and Sants is only 1 metro stop away from THE FORTYSIX. The home is luxurious, comfortable, and feels like a reward for your vacation all in itself. Ventura was simply phenomenal to meet and a true asset as a host. Rapid responses before our arrival provided answers to all our questions. And upon arriving, he greeted us, took time to orient us to the apartment and surrounding area. His recommendations for restaurants, shops, and even activities all proved to be just what we were hoping for. When we found ourselves without arrangements for our airport transportation, Ventura stepped in and orchestrated it quickly for us. He, the staff, and other guests within the building were all truly a pleasure. I cannot say enough good things about THE FORTYSIX. We find it hard to imagine visiting Barcelona without staying at this property. If you have an opportunity to call this home during your stay, you will not regret it. Also there there is a concierge with a Luxury club with a swimming pool, gymnasium and paddle. And a little of history… In June 2015, THE FORTYSIX opened its doors after been redesigned by the internationally renowned Lázaro Rosa - Violán and the acclaimed architect Helga Hidalgo. But it has a much longer history. The house was built in 1940 by my grandfather, the architect Buenaventura Conill i Montobbio, a Gaudi´s close friend and disciple. That is why the building is closely connected to the Catalan art nuveau movement history.
