With direct access to Tapeka’s sandy beach, wonderful sea views and beautiful interior spaces, this beach house has been designed as the perfect place for up to two families to have a memorable holiday together, in one of the most special parts of New Zealand. The space The house is a modern, luxury bach spread over two levels, with four bedrooms, two living areas and two and a half bathrooms. The four bedrooms include: Bedroom 1 - queen bed with ensuite (sleeps 2) Bedroom 2 - queen bed (sleeps 2) Bedroom 3 – 1 set of bunkbeds (sleeps 2) Kids room – 2 sets of bunkbeds (sleeps 4). The Kids room is a favourite for young people (and their parents), with a second TV, couch, children’s books, lots of toys and space to play. A large outdoor shaded deck with modern lounge seating is the perfect spot to escape the midday sun or for watching the beautiful Tapeka sunset. After dark, the overhead heater takes any chill off the air. The indoor living area has a table for 10 and large L shaped couch for taking in the view or watching TV. Wifi is available throughout the house, and there are two Smart TVs (for using your Netflix / Sky FanPass). A heatpump (with A/C) is installed for year round comfort. For babies, there is also a high chair, a porta cot and a baby-gate for the stairs. The kitchen is spacious, with 2 ovens, 2 fridge/freezers, dishwasher, microwave etc, a soda stream and a Nespresso (assortment of pods provided). A Weber Q BBQ is on the deck. Tapeka Point is a 2min drive (or 30min walk) over the hill from Russell, in the Bay of Islands. It has two beaches separated by a DOC reserve on the point itself. The property has direct access to the “sandy” beach, which is generally calm, and perfect for swimming and building sandcastles or for taking out one of the two sea kayaks. For a change of scene, the “rocky” beach is a 1min walk and great for exploring the rock pools at low tide. A DOC reserve is accessed via the “Tapeka Track” (1min from the property) and is well worth it for the unmatched views across the Bay of Islands to Cape Brett. Russell town itself is a picturesque village steeped in history, with excellent restaurants, cafes, shops and many tourist activities. Special conditions: All linen and end-of-stay kitchen and bathroom cleaning is provided; please leave the house in a tidy state. Please no parties or functions; 5 night minimum stay during peak seasons (shorter stays please enquire); 3 night minimum stay over long weekends; base rate includes up to 6 guests, extra guests $40 per night.
