Musk House- Pet friendly country cottage

Musk House is a tastefully decorated 1 bedroom cottage with an en-suite bathroom. The open planned living/dining/ kitchen area is spacious with views out to the garden. There is also a day bed in the sun room, perfect for an afternoon snooze or a relaxing read of a book or magazine. The space While the buzz of Daylesford is only a 7 minute drive away, here at Musk House is another world of peace and solitude. A stroll through the garden reveals a myriad of wonderful plants and a babbling creek that flows all year round. The day bed in the sunroom is a treasured spot for relaxing with a book or an afternoon siesta. Even from inside the cottage, by the warmth of the wood fire or the coolness of the air conditioner with a favourite CD playing, the garden still envelops you with its tranquil ambiance. There is a full kitchen with everything you need to self cater. Tea, coffee & long life milk is supplied & there is a Nespresso coffee machine with a supply of pods for your stay. Cooking oil, salt and pepper can also be found in the pantry. There is a smart tv for your viewing pleasure. In the bedroom you will find a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom. Sorry but there is only a shower as we are on tank water out here in the country and filling a bath would be contradictory to good water management practices. I do hope you understand. Musk House is also pet friendly so feel to have your fur baby accompany you on your country escape. I do ask that your well behaved pet is not left inside the house unsupervised. The courtyard garden accessed via the back door or the French doors from the sun room, is fully fenced as is the front garden entry area. Pets are not permitted on the furniture or the bed. Please clean up after your dog in the garden. Enjoy a body massage in Daylesford, but experience a massage of the soul at Musk House. Guest access Musk House is a fully self contained home & guests have full use of the entire house. Other things to note The property is just far enough away from town, making it just the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate but only a seven minute drive into Daylesford so you can sample all the treats of the region. These include a great selection of eateries, beer and wine bars, specialist shops and galleries. Take the mineral waters too at the famous and historic Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa or try various treatments at one of a selection of day spas. Musk House is a pet friendly property with a small secured garden area. Your pet is welcome to accompany you inside the cottage under your supervision. Please clean up after your pet and do not allow them on the furniture or bed. DIRECTIONS TO MUSK House 600 Trentham/Daylesford Road, Musk. 1. Travel from Melbourne via the Calder Freeway and head towards Woodend. 2. Take the Woodend exit and travel through the forest into Woodend 3. The turnoff to Daylesford is just after the pedestrian crossing on your left. It’s the Trentham Daylesford Rd. 4. Follow this road towards Trentham. You will go through the small town of Tylden. Make sure you slow to 70km as the local police are pretty vigilant. 5. The turn off to Daylesford is a further 10 min drive. Take this turn off to the right (which avoids the town of Trentham but it does direct you to the Trentham Falls and Daylesford) 6. Follow this road to Daylesford. You will pass through a couple of small towns. The first is Lyonville. Next is Bullarto. 7. MUSK IS NEXT. Watch carefully as the sign is quite small and easily missed. You will pass An Olive Grove on your left & a blue sign for Peppermint Springs. 8. Musk House is at the bottom of the decline, the second last house on your left just before the bend at the guard rails. There is a metal sign on the fence & a gate across the driveway. I will leave the gate across driveway entrance open for your arrival. 9. If you pass the turn off to Dairy Flat Farm & Lodge then you have gone too far. 10. There is a lockbox containing the keys located just near the door. The code will be provided once your booking is confirmed. Please return the key to the key safe when you depart. I hope these directions enable a smooth arrival at Musk House for your weekend of rest and relaxation. POWER OUTAGES: In the case of a power outage there are battery operated lanterns in the drawer to right of the fridge. There is also a torch on top of the fridge. The property will also be without water as the cabin is serviced by tank water requiring an electric pump. There are some individual bottled water in the wooden cupboard located at the end of the kitchen. There is also a large 10 litre cask of fresh water for your use. There is a butane portable gas stove located in this cupboard for your use just in case the outage is prolonged. I will keep you up to date as Powercor advise me. Outages can be common during excessive rain or wind as the many trees in the area are susceptible to falling & bringing down powerlines. Hopefully you will not need to make use of the emergency items.
