Escape to a cozy, rustic hillside hideaway just 10–15 mins from Mudgee. Imagine sleeping somewhere that is pitch black at night, all you can see are stars and all you can hear is nature. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. BBQ. SUVs/AWDs/4WDs required for access. Perfect for those seeking comfort, quiet, and a true out-of-town experience. The space The cottage is a hill hideaway with beautiful views and wildlife and no traffic noises ! The cottage is fully self contained, a decent sized, well equipped kitchen space with an oven, gas cooktop, dishwasher. There is a BBQ on front veranda. Tastefully furnished, yet not so precious you can't relax. Fire pit outside and combustion fire indoors. A/C for summer. Mudgee night skys has zero light pollution & after sunset it is pitch black -Stars light the skies full of wonder. Not until you leave the cities or big town that you realise what you've been missing. Old styled boxed games and there are plenty of books to read. Mudgee boasts many fine wineries and tour operators that will pick you up from the property. TECHNOLOGY AND TV Starlink Internet 180+Mbps Connect your phone to wifi calling, no matter which carrier for perfect phone reception. Large Screen Smart TV in living room, connect all your apps or use some of ours like netfiix, disney etc. Stream on! Large Screen TV also in bedroom off front veranda. A firestick allows you to connect to streaming apps or we have a massive eclectic collection of DVD's. A bluetooth boombox is provided to use indoors or outdoors and with no closeby neighbors you can obviously.....crank it! ***BEDROOM CONFIGURATIONS*** Main bedroom - Queen bed Second Room - Queen bed Third Room - External room off front veranda. A/C. One double bed and one Queen Sized Futon. The Futon is only made up for bookings of more than 4 guests and upon request so please let me know when booking if it is required. The futon is very comfy to sleep in. Water is precious so no washing machine in cottage. (There are laundromats in Mudgee). All linen, one towel per guest, tea, coffee and some condiments are provided. Check in is 3pm Check out is 11am THE POSITIVES ABOUT A TAHOMA STAY 1. It's private and you will really get the feel for being in the country, yet close to town and wineries. 2. It has a fire-pit and combustion fire. 3. Rustic feels, tasteful design, clean yet not sterile, its not so prissy you can't relax. 4. Quiet and pitch black at night. 5. Value. Tahoma offers the best value for what it is in the Mudgee region without a doubt. THE NEGATIVES OF A TAHOMA STAY 1. There is a dirt access road, it can be a little bumpy. There is a steep hill to drive up to the cottage. "Highly nervous" drivers might like to choose a different place. 2. It's a home, not a hotel, so even though its thoroughly cleaned, it is definitely not going to have that hotel feel. If you are OCD this is probably not the place for you. 3. Tahoma only has one bathroom and one toilet, most larger groups find this ok ( up to 8 can come) but it is something to consider. We have endeavored to give the space county living good feels. Of all the paths you take in life make sure a few of them are dirt - John Muir Guest access Parking is near cottage. There is approximately 500 metres of gravel access road and a gravel section leading up to cottage. Other things to note 3 Night Minimum Stay on Public Holiday Weekends No Sunday Check-ins for stays less than 6 days. Firewood: I do not supply firewood for the indoor combustion fire or the fire pit to enable me to keep guest rates reasonable. I've decided to give guests choices around this expense.
