Clifftop - Amazing Beach Coast & Ocean Views

'Clifftop' is a special 1960's Retro house right above beautiful Tathra Beach with stunning views of the coast and ocean High cyprus pine ceilings, retro fittings, sunny aspect and shelter from prevailing winds give Clifftop its unique style leaving guests with lasting memories.. Clifftop is lovingly maintained by us (Chris and Bruce) to make your stay special. The space 'Clifftop' is a Unique Retro house built in the early 1960's by Chris's parents. The house is perched right on top of the Cliff in Tathra and is owned and maintained by Chris for the last 17 years. In recent years a large timber deck at the rear of the house was built to overlook a hidden semi Rainforest Gully, a haven for local wallabies, lyrebirds, honeyeaters and skinks. A wonderland for kids! The house is situated in a quiet lane with no through traffic and is only a 2 minute walk to the beach, Tathra wharf and Tathra hotel. The view from the house is stunning, overlooking the beautiful, safe Tathra Beach and yet is very protected from coastal winds. The property is single story at the front and double at the rear. Under the deck at the rear is a private space with laundry room and a second retro bathroom with toilet and shower. The stunning garden with tree ferns, orchids, cliveas and a huge monstera thicket are features of this space as well as a green maintained lawn both at the rear and front of the house. The property sleeps 4 and suits small families or couples 2 dogs are welcomed at Clifftop and house rules apply The house is well catered for with a Queen bedroom overlooking the front verandah with ocean views. The King bedroom is larger with a bed that can be split to 2 singles. This room has built in cupboards with retro fittings and lights and overlooks the back deck. All linen is supplied and both rooms have plug in oil heaters and electric blankets in season. The pink and grey retro bathroom has a bath/ shower, with a separate toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, cutlery and crockery, Stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, jug, toaster. The Lounge has amazing views of the ocean and coastline while the family room is a quiet space . The house has Air con ,digital TV and NBN access with WiFI so you can now work and play while visiting Clifftop. 'Clifftop is Close to cafes, shops , Tathra Hotel , Tathra wharf, and the beautiful Tathra Beach. When you stay at 'Clifftop you are centrally placed to discover the region. The fabulous bike paths are awaiting enthusiasts and the many beaches and inlets of the region are just bekoning. You can kayak with local guides, fish from your boat, hire a bike for a leisurely ride, play the many beauitiful regional golf courses, dine out at the Tathra Hotel and have coffee in town or at one of the regions interesting towns. The world is your oyster at Tathra Oysters, the Best in Australia for many years or visit Bega Cheese to take home their exclusive Heritage Cheddar. Visit North of Eden Gin or take a whale watching trip when the whales are visiting in winter and spring. Tathra has a maritime climate and frosts do not occur at Clifftop. The winters are generally sunny and you can enjoy the morning sun at Clifftop as it pours into the lounge room during the winter months Guest access Clifftop is totally a holiday house so the whole space is yours. The house is accessed on level ground and has 2 low access steps only. Handrails in the shower & toilet if needed. Stairs to the lower level or sloping access at the side of the house. There is a small carport close to the front door All guests will be welcomed on arrival. Self check in can be arranged. Other things to note We only offer a minimum 7 night stay at 'Clifftop' as we like our guests to stop, relax and enjoy their stay, to make it memorable. Clifftop has Free WIFI and NBN so you can enjoy your holiday while working from home. If you are driving an electric vehicle you can now charge it at the Tathra Hotel while you enjoy lunch or dinner, or take a stroll down the Headland pathway to the Wharf where you can enjoy a great coffee and views to the beach and bay. Up to 2 dogs are welcome. We have an enclosed deck where dogs can be left when you are out. The beach is partly dog friendly off lead Dogs must be clean and dry before entering the house. No pets on the furniture please for the comfort of others. We suggest you check with your vet about paralysis ticks treatment before your stay. All guests will be welcomed on arrival. Tathra has a great little supermarket, butcher, hotel, chemist, doctor, clubs, cafes, and one of the Best Beaches on the South Coast and of course the famous Tathra Wharf, the last of its kind on the East Coast of Australia.
