Carriage 4388 is suitable for 2 people and is fully self contained (including kitchen). Just 20 minutes from Canberra City, surrounded by cool climate wineries and vineyards, this vintage railway carriage has come to rest in picturesque and peaceful, rural surroundings and so can you. A cooked breakfast is included in the tariff. The space The carriage comprises a comfortable queen sized bed, spacious kitchen/dining room equipped with a full sized fridge, stove, oven, microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, toaster, crockery and cutlery. Carriage 4388 offers you a generous art deco inspired living area to relax in with DVD/video library, magazines, and board games to keep you entertained. Movie buffs will also enjoy looking at our collection of old movie posters that line the walls. There is also a swimming pool and tennis court available for our guests to use. In the warmer months the train has air conditioning and windows that open to provide a nice through breeze. For the cooler months there is a slow combustion wood fire to sit by and relax. The wrap around verandah is ideal for watching the ever changing sunsets, having a BBQ, watching the wildlife, admiring the stunning views of the nearby ranges, or just enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
