When you approach the house from the south, you will immediately recognise the bright, honey-yellow 'tufo' stone, which was brought out from under the old plaster everywhere in the course of the total renovation of the house. The curved walls with the arched windows that form the upper end of the façade on the roof terrace are also striking. As decorative elements, they convey an Ionic-Mediterranean lightness to the house. From the roof terrace with the large dining table in the shady wooden pavilion, the round arches provide fascinating views of the Ionian Sea and the green surrounding countryside. At night, the tufo arches are bathed in a fairytale blue light, visible from afar and a landmark of the Villa I Tamarigi. Follow us into the romantic garden under tall pine trees, in whose shade you will always find a cosy spot to chat, read or doze, even on hot days. But now is not the time to try out the hammock under the pines! We leave the comfortable marble staircase to the roof terrace on the left and enter the arcaded courtyard, the 'centre' of the Tenuta. Here - in front of the large brick barbecue - guests gather at the large dining table or in the cosy lounge under the arcades of the portico. Let's now walk across the terrace by the palm trees into the light-flooded, spacious eat-in kitchen of the villa 'I Tamarigi'. This kitchen is a true Eldorado for master chefs and those who want to become one. It is equipped with everything you need to entertain even larger groups: a large 5-burner hob, dishwasher, giant fridge with freezer compartment, an oven as well as espresso and coffee machines.... are just as much a matter of course as sufficient pots, cutlery, appetising crockery and enough glasses of all kinds. Integrated into the kitchen-living room is the cosy dining area for cooler days, because most of the year you will be eating outside on one of the numerous furnished terraces anyway. From the kitchen we reach the living room of the villa 'I Tamarigi'. Here, too, blue is dominant, and here, too, the old tufa stone has been brought back into its own. From the comfortable seating area, you look through the floor-to-ceiling arched windows into the romantic garden. This is a popular place for reading, chatting and listening to music - or also for relaxed film evenings, because in the living room of the 'Tamarigi' there is a flat-screen TV with Netflix and all satellite channels (Astra) as well as a DVD player in addition to a music system. Guests have access to a rich collection of DVDs, CDs and books. There should be something for every taste. The villa is furnished to a high standard - with white country house furniture, terracotta tiles, airy linen curtains... The bedroom wing offers three cosy double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Air conditioning and central heating throughout the house ensure well-being in all seasons. Bedside tables and reading lamps on all beds go without saying; large brick wardrobes provide enough storage space for your personal belongings. One of the three double beds can also be made into two separate single beds. If you wish, we can provide a baby cot free of charge. All three bathrooms have extra-large showers, bidets, toilets and washbasins and plenty of hooks and shelves for your towels and the many other utensils that come with a bathroom. Of course, there is also a hairdryer in every bathroom. Wi-Fi is of course available to guests free of charge throughout the house. In addition to the three bathrooms, there is a practical hot-water outdoor shower on the property aswell as a guest toilet. Right next to the laundry room with the guest washing machine you will also find sunshades and sunbeds for the beach and other beach utensils. The table tennis table is always ready for use on the square by the upper garden gate. On the other side of the house is the large competition-tested boccia court with enough high-quality balls. In the evening, powerful spotlights provide enough light for night-time boccia or table tennis tournaments. Let's now go up the marble stairs to the sun deck of the villa 'I Tamarigi'. Here you will find comfortable sun loungers for undisturbed sunbathing or a peaceful afternoon nap, as well as the aforementioned dining table in the pavilion. Our walk through the villa 'I Tamarigi' ends here on the roof terrace with a magnificent view of the nearby Ionian Sea. Guest access Together with the garden house "Il Portico", Villa I Tamarigi forms the "Tenuta Tufo nel Blu". In the Portico there are two more bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and an additional kitchen. The garden house can be rented in addition to the villa if more space is needed. However, the portico is not rented out individually in consideration of the privacy of the residents of the "Tamarigi". So you always have the whole property of Villa I Tamarigi to yourself, with or without the garden house Il Portico.
