Beautiful cottage within Fazeboon Barn located a few miles from Snape Maltings and Orford. Great for couples wanting to escape the city or just wishing to explore this wonderful part of Suffolk. The space Spike Cottage is a newly converted 1-bedroom apartment decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The cottage provides light and airy accommodation suitable for two guests and benefits from a private courtyard – great for sunny days and family BBQs. Spike Cottage is located in the middle of Suffolk on the East Coast of England, only two and a half hours from London. Steeped in history and culture from the Vikings and the Romans, the barn, has in fact, even been mentioned in historical records dating as far back as 14th century. Its’ surrounding area provides a sensational location for birdwatchers, walkers, bikers and sailors but also an oasis of tranquillity for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Within our grounds, pigs, deers, rabbits, pheasants, partridges as well as the resident Muscovy ducks and Moorhens can all be seen. Even more, a herd of beautiful and inquisitive Red Poll cattle live on our field. The space Set up as an open plan living room, the sitting area is furnished with one comfy sofa, coffee table, a wood burner for which one free basket of logs will be provided (more available for purchase on site), Freeview TV is available. The kitchen comes fully equipped with crockery and glassware, a dishwasher, full size oven, microwave and cleaning materials. The dining area is stunning with a large table for 2. The cottage can accommodate 2 guests. The master bedroom benefits from an ensuite shower room. Needless to say, all bed linen, towels, tea towels are provided. If you are bringing your child, please note that the bedroom is too small to accommodate a crib. There is a private terrace equipped with table and chairs (great for warm days and BBQ). WiFi information: Kindly note that while the internet connection works if can be very slow at times. By proceeding with this reservation we therefore assume that you have accepted the low internet speed. Note this connection will not be satisfactory for video conference calls. Please note the cottage this accommodation is offered on a non-smoking basis. The maximum occupancy for this cottage is maximum 2 people (one baby and/or dog is allows). Also, do note that should you be arriving and driving an electric car, you will NOT be able to charge it at our property. Should we discover these rules are not respected, you may be at risk of further charges. LONG STAYS As we strive to maintain the highest standards we impose that long-stays and bookings staying longer than 12 days have additional cleaning session(s) - scheduled fortnightly. An extra £60 will apply for each new cleaning session and this is not automatically calculated in the displayed rate. We hope you will decide to spend your time in Suffolk at our property.
