Woodside's in a rural valley in an amazing location in the heart of the National Park, with the dog friendly Muddy Boot Pub to walk to. The space *Woodside is ideal for families and couples, where dogs are very welcome. *Being so central in the Lake District National Park means you can easily see more of this fabulous area. *It's a walkers paradise with plenty of footpaths to explore and comfy beds to come back to. *You will have free access all day, every day to Cascades spa: The Spa is 2 miles away. * Woodside has everything a luxury cottage should have :- fabulous location,beautifully decorated by an interior designer, period features,superbly well equipped. delightful private gardens, free Wi Fi internet, log burner, secure private parking, books, dvd's, CD's, large flat screen Smart TV (own log in for Netflix etc required) 2 bathrooms ,dogs welcome and spa facilities .....you'll want for nothing. *Woodside was part of the lodging house for the single men and young boys who worked at the Bobbin mill . Today the Bobbin mill is owned by English Heritage. You will be staying in a piece of history. *A rural paradise where you can escape the stresses of modern life. Peaceful, yet only a few minutes from Lakeside village amenities. *You can walk to the spectacular High Dam lake on a minor road and then footpaths. This is a must do. The setting is beautiful and restfull. *Being in the heart of the National Park pavements are few but with care the walk to Lake Windermere's pier at Lakeside which is approx 13 mins on foot away, can be done on the B road and through the woods during the day. It can can be busy in school holidays.Many people walk the roadway or you can drive the 2 minutes and park at Lakeside. At Lakeside you can take the lake cruisers around Lake Windermere , ride the steam train to Haverthwaite, visit The Aquarium of the Lakes. eat in Oscar's cafe or The Muddy Boot Pub (dogs welcome) which is great for food and drink or enjoy The Lakeside Hotel Restaurant. There's also a fabulous on the level walk to The Swan marina and hotel. *A location in the heart of the National Park and by Lake Windermere is hard to beat! in fact you can forget the car for several days and travel around lake Windermere by boat! We are a family owned and run cottage who pride ourselves in providing a quality cottage and service. WOODSIDE COTTAGE Ground Floor: Lounge: • Woodside's spacious lounge has a fabulous INGLENOOK FIREPLACE and LOG BURNER to gather around, cosy for nights in with a bottle of wine. With games, books, CDs, DVds and a large flat screen TV (own log in for Netflix etc required) . Everyone in the family will be happy :-) Kitchen: With electric cooker, microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine , tumble dryer and tiled floor. Well equipped for cooking! • If you like to cook , you'll like Woodside. So well equipped with complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, oil, herbs and spices etc. Seating around a refectory table for 8 Down stairs WC and basin FIRST FLOOR MASTER BEDROOM : With king size bed with window seat and ensuite shower room: With power shower , toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail. This romantic master bedroom has Egyptian cotton sheets, designer fabrics and luxury ensuite and is a haven after a hard days sightseeing. DOUBLE BEDROOM : With double bed. This romantic bedroom with oversized headboard has Egyptian cotton sheets, designer fabrics and lovely view down the valley. TWIN BEDROOM : With twin beds. Window seat This bedroom has Egyptian cotton sheets, designer fabrics and colour co-ordinated furnishings. To compliment the romantic feel all bedrooms , are dressed with designer fabrics and Egyptian cotton bedding with colour co-ordinated luxury towels. FAMILY BATHROOM: In the family bathroom you can enjoy a power shower or a long leisurely soak in a contemporary setting. Toilet and hand basin with heated towel rail. Spa opening times: mon-fri 07.00-21.30 sat & sun 08.00-19.30 includes: heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub/jacuzzi and gym (note children under 16 years are permitted to use the pool , table tennis only) Also for additional cost is use of the thermal spa, providing exclusive health and beauty experience which is second to none. We have 2 GARDENS available. The small patio garden is attached to the cottage with a table and chairs to sit out and enjoy. It is at the back of the cottage and by where you park your car. The cottage garden is 6 paces from the front door, grassed, has a table and chairs .6 sun loungers and a fire pit. Please see the photos of the gardens . Both gardens are fenced. We have PARKING for 2 cars but more parking is available nearby. For a one off payment that covers the whole of your stay you can park on the Bobbin Mill top car park. This is ideal if you have 3 cars or large cars . Please ask for details. Guest access You will be able to access the whole cottage and both gardens Other things to note Here are a few things we think you’ll want to know We aren't able to offer EV charging but it is available locally. We send a list of useful websites before your arrival to help with your planning, that will help you discover the fantastic places of the Lake District We have loads of leaflets in Woodside, of places to vist etc in the area, to help you plan your stay and are always only a phone call away if you want to know about a particular visitor attraction . WE provide : WELCOME BASKET: You’ll arrive to a welcome basket inclusive of milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. COOKING BASICS: condiments of salt, pepper, oil, vinegar and a selection of herbs and spices – all provided complimentary for your stay FIREWOOD: We provide logs for the first night, but should you need more they can be obtained locally at the garage at Newby Bridge on A590 Dogs are very welcome but we do ask that they are not allowed upstairs. Dogs are welcome on the furniture with a clean throw. Woodside is excellent for children, babies and toddlers with games, books and toys, also a high chair, travel cot, fire guard and stair gate FREE of charge. We have facilities for 1 baby ONLY
