Gîte 1 La Rame***

Awarded 3 stars by the France Tourism board. Our home lies in the nationale park Périgord-Limousin, close to 2 market towns. The apartment is part of an old farm dating from 1910, but it's newly refurbished, clean and comfortable with a king size bed. Situated in the country side, you'll find 20 hectare of grassland and forest to explore with a frog pond and even a small lake. If you get up early enough you might even see deer in the garden. We welcome everybody, singles, families, pets... The space If you're looking for a place to relax, enjoy the sunshine and discover the countryside, while still being close to towns, castles, caves and outdoor activities, this is the place for you. The apartment is cosy and modern, with a full kitchen, separate toilet and shower room, a good quality sofa bed in the living room and a king size bed in the bedroom. The king size bed can be converted into two singles, so that families with 2 children can stay there comfortably. Please let us know before you arrive if you want the beds arranged like this. Guest access You have access to your own private apartment with kitchen and bathroom. All bedlinen and towels are included. Outside you can explore all the land and forest, or choose to relax around the communal pool or under the willow tree at the frogpond and watch the wildlife such as: birds (of prey), maybe a few deer, our two goofy dogs and a couple of cats. You also have your own outdoor table with 4 chairs and a small barbeque. If you want to, you can use the big communal barbeque or the brick wood-fired pizza oven, which are situated around the communal terrace where you can maybe catch up with other guests. Next to this terrace is the communal dining/games room, which is for everybody to use. You'll find board games, a pool table, dart board and a big TV with DVD player and a big selection of films. There are travelcots and highchairs available for the little ones. Other things to note We also have 4 B&B rooms, and you are very welcome to join our other guests for breakfast. For a continental breakfast with local fresh produce, we charge 12 euros per person. You can enjoy it in the communal breakfast room, or you can take it to your own apartment. Please let us know the day before if you want to join the 'breakfast club'.
